I want to chat with the person who mixes these tracks for you guys to find out their opinions on the D6 on Tom 1 in place of a D4 or something different. Lol D6 on floor tom makes total sense. Just curious if there's a huge jump in quality for the rack tom.

The frequency Response from the D4 compared to a D6 picks up more mid frequencies. When equalizing the toms, the usual approach is to remove some mids, and boost a little of the lows and highs. I use the Audix d4's. But after listening to this mix, I would also like to try the d6 on my toms. 😅 I'm not sure if there's a huge jump on quality, but you get a totally different tone compared to other tom dedicated mics. (The tone the Audix D6 provide may help to not overdo Eq on the tom Channel.)
