What an absolutely fascinating documentary. It’s so hard to believe in this day and age that these things really can happen. Especially children getting married at such a young age and obviously have no voice of their own without their partners being there watching what is being said. It’s everyone’s right to believe in what religion they want to, but they should never be forced or beaten into doing what their elders want especially when the elder isn’t even their parents in some cases. I don't know. I'm trying to get a clear picture on Ultra Orthodox Jewish communities, but it is hard for me to be objective, since this documentary is so obviously biased by the their authors. The music they've chosen makes everything I see seem weird and wrong as if they wanted to say that everything in this community is weird and wrong. Then they show a scene where the police raids the community. Then they show teachers teaching secular topics with the remark that some concepts are not entirely accurate. Maybe I'm biased in a way, though I'm not part of any Jewish community and I'm glad to live in secular Germany, but does any journalist ever ask how the people, especially the women, feel and what they think about their lifestyles? If the majority of these people are content and glad with being part of these communities? It seems to me that journalists and documentarists are rather comparing and judging such communities and lifestyles than presenting them in the most objective way as possible.
