Such an interesting and thoughtful interview. I remember watching Roots with my family when I was young. A remarkable groundbreaking series. I read the book later when I was in my 20s. An extraordinary book.

One of my classmates in my English class was forbidden by his mother to watch Roots in class. My teacher gave us all permission slips to show our parents to sign in order for us to be able to watch Roots. My friend was the only one who didn't watch it.

The nation the world was glued to television to watch roots. I so remember growing up watching it, but remember back in the day we had to have our homework done and eat our dinner, make sure the dishes were washed Clothes were ready for school the next day, then and we sat down and watched it as a family.🤣 then he did a whole Lotta other good movies after roots I forgot the one that I love that he was a prisoner. He was in prison, and some man was helping him. I forgot the name of that movie. Leave it in the comments.
