This game is clearly a parody of the zombie apocalypse trope. The same way how Shaun of the Dead pokes fun at the zombie genre, when you realize that fighting zombies is like fighting mentally disabled people, you don't need to be a trained soldier to save the day.

Wow…. Compared to original version, they cut a whole bunch of stuff out. I’m lil disappointed they didn’t keep everything how it was. I think the original still might be the superior version.
