well to be honest ,, i have given the jamiroquai peeps a run for their money recently ,,i will do more level 42 uploads once i have gone through a round of early 70s american funk ,,,thanks for the comment

Yeah,well done mate! it's obvious that Mark King has been hugely influenced by Stanley,you can hear that on early Level42 stuffs Do you his solo album Influences from '83 , The first track called The Essential ,on which he plays bass,guitar and drums,is absolutely unbelievable...

tasty playing mate! Have you heard the live version from the cd 'Live At Gillingham' 1981? Its would be a great one for you to cover! Its has an extended jam at the end... (Only known version of that jam..) I'm planning on re-doing this track from the live in 2003 cd - bloody amazing version - just hope I can keep up!! 5 stars

well, uk funk music was born out of disco dancing clubs,,most notably slap bass & big disco octaves in the late 70s ,mark king was not the 1st, he led the way for quite a while,,
