I recently saw a video entitled: "Stop saying this word now" where the presenter went on at great length expounding on philosophy and attitude as if he were a professional guidance counselor.-- I subscribe to that channel because of the casual but well-done ad-libbed discussions of various software app features.-- Another word that should be used sparingly. "Amazing" is the most over-used adjective on You Tube. The word has become meaningless. Stop it Doc. You're smarter than that.

Bought it straight away, not to program it for my Loupedeck :P

I may have to checkout the Loupedeck.... it feels like I'm cheating on my first love though. Then again, it's actually my second love.... my 3DConnexion SpaceMouse Pro was first, but has not been getting much love since the Stream Deck moved in!

Thank you for great videos. I bought ProMouse as well for demos etc. But when I share my screen on Google Meet, big bummer!! it does not show any of ProMouse features such as Zoom circle, or drawing on the screen. Demo was the whole reason I had bought it. Is there any solution for this? Thanks again!

Hello Alec, thanks for your educational videos. I have a question...why can't I see the ProMouse in my ecamm Live View? Do you have the golden tip? Thanks again for the fantastic videos!! Regards, Ron
@TakeOneTech3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ron, are you sharing a specific app in ecamm live? If so Ecamm will show just that app to the exclusion of all other apps including Pro Mouse… in order for it to show up, share your desktop but then use the crop feature (hold down option and drag on the edges of your screen share overlay) to crop into just the app you want to show…. Now ProMouse will be visible in the output from Ecamm Live. Let me know if that solves the issue and if not, we’ll troubleshoot some more! 😊

@takeonetech, thanks for the great tip on this!! Love it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to show in my eCamm recordings or while live. Any tips to getting it to work? Thanks in advance.

Hi Andrew, Glad you like it.... I've got a couple of suggestions regarding promouse, and in fact the mouse pointer in general. First of all, it depends on how you are sharing your screen. First thing to cover is if you are using NDI Scan converter to share an application window... if this is the case, then it does not show the mouse point in any case, though you have the the option to show or hide it with NDI Scan converter if you are showing the full desktop. If you are sharing your screen with Ecamm live, then there is a setting in preferences under 'screen sharing' called "Include Mouse Cursor", so make sure that this is checked. However I noticed a strange thing happening since the recent software update..... even if I had 'show mouse cursor' turned on, it would still not show up unless "Show everything when sharing the entire screen" was also selected (This is on the same page of preferences). These two options should not impact one another, but as I say, I had to have both checked in order to see the mouse. Let me know if these help or not, and we'll try to get it figured out! Have a great day 😊

@@TakeOneTech thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can mess with a bit. I'll let you know if I get it. I was using NDI, that might be why.

@@TakeOneTech I got it to work! I had just an application shared in eCamm. Once I shared the whole display, it worked beautifully! Thanks again for this great find. I've been doing a lot of this in post. . This will save a ton of time. 🤘🏻

@@OrangeNomad and yes, I've just found that sharing a specific app in an ecamm window does not show the pro mouse overlay. #frustrating. I suspect that's an ecamm issue.

😔Looks like it would be a great app, sadly does not work. M1 Mac Mini, OS Ventura 13.2.1, LogiTech MX Anywhere mouse for Mac. App installs, able to set all the hot keys, leaving the few defaults, added Alecs icons, able to turn on the halo from the Apple Menu bar, but that is it. Zoom, spotlight, draw, circle, arrow, all do not function. What other options are available?

Alec, so much fine value in your videos, thank you! I've just bought your icon packs for Mouse Pro & the Calculator, and I also prefer folder structure to profiles. Although, it's possible to "mapp" the profiles on buttons, right? So one profile could be lots of buttons that load profiles..? Will need to investigate more. Cheers!
@TakeOneTech3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback and glad you like the videos! So.... my Streamdeck folder structure - I have spent quite some time getting it just right and the way I want it for my workflow, but I'm about to tear it up and switch over to profiles, (but then use profiles like folders..... ) I didn't use profiles originally because I was not interested in assigning profiles to specific applications and having them switch automatically. I suddenly had a realisation when I wanted to have the same 'folder' of icons easily accessible within two other folders.... so with my folder system, only option would be to copy the whole folder.... then changes in one would have to be manually copied across to the otehr going forward. Obviously not efficient. Realised everything I wanted to do could be achieved with profiles.... As you say, one profile could just link to other profiles of buttons. Also I would never need to think about 'nesting' and folder paths.... basically I could just link to any set of buttons (profile) from any other group, simply by adding in a button link to that profile. I'm sure there will be people reading this at some point thinking "wel', d'uh! " . Guess I'm just late to the profile party! I'm going to get it all setup over the next couple of days and make a video about it...

It's not an "amazing" video. It is a well done, drama-free, coherent and informed explanatory video. "Amazing" is the rings around Saturn. Not a routine software app video. That it is done by an organized and engaging teacher is jarring in a world where most would-be SME's ad-lib with no script and make it up as they go. The vast majority of You Tube "overview" videos are done by people with no training, no script, no structure or even a demonstrated competence in software training. Credentials, education and actual experience are not required to declare one-self an online teacher. Got a computer and a gift for gab? You're an expert! Thanks for the refreshing and substantive discussion. I watched it twice. Bought the app. And subscribed. Mission accomplished.
