SO THAT'S WHAT THOSE PIVOTS INSIDE DYNAMIC NPCS ARE? Now the question is, do they help entities see each other (presuming that their eyes are like cameras). Do they constraint entities or can be used as such? Is an entitie the result of a connection between a slim pivot (a external point of view) and a thick one (an internal point of view)? So we have a situation where it perceives itself as an event (a camera watching itself, what we call consciousness)?

I don't use sfm and I don't know why I clicked on this video because I knew it wasn't more Interloper, but actually it's really useful outside of sfm coz I didn't know about camera rigging in 3d animation and this gave me some insight. Thanks!

Here's a cool thing i learned with sfm I end up using human models as camera holders, so they bend with their actual spine and their heads control it like this I also end up using walking animations for a handheld camera look like in scenes where people are walking

In LOVE with the ape escape music. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🙌🙌🙌🙌 Thank you so much for these tips!! I'm Duke, an animator for hire but also not a professional. But good enough for commissions. I will absolutely use these tips in the future!! ❤️🫂 Another thing I wanted to get into was advanced Pose to pose animation. I know the basics and im pretty sure alot of others do cause of Jimmer lins videos. But Jim doesn't go into THIS amount of detail! Growing up i used to animate picture by picture with my action figures and make them move around in video form growing up. Then when SFM came out it was like a dream come true. 😍

little late to the party lol so i decided to watch this even though i don't animate in sfm but then i found something odd 5:40 - 5:42 (you have to use < and > to go frame-by-frame) some weird shapes moving around in the dark i see an elongated object of sorts (maybe a triangle?), with a spherical object on it; the "triangle" moves slowly to the right; there's also a "cylinder" flying around, above the "triangle" and sphere and at the very end (5:50 - 5:51, also requires going frame-by-frame), you can see the high contrast version of this thing, except the floating object moves very erratically and doesn't resemble a cylinder anymore, the "triangle" doesn't really look like a triangle either also, after going back and forth, i don't think that the shapes laying on the ground are moving, i think the camera itself moves around and only the floating thingamajig moves

I found you from the Interloper series, and just recently picked up SFM and started learning. And these tutorials are so helpful and easy to follow along with! Thank you for all your hard work mate! You're truly doing amazing work. I do have a quick question. Is it possible to save the camera settings for future use? Like if I set it up during one session can I export and import it into future ones or would I need to set it up each time? (I imagine not) anyway, thank you for these awesome tutorials!

Really cool setup! Is there any equivalent for this camera setup in Unreal by any chance?
@Anomidae2 жыл бұрын
can't speak for unreal personally but in theory you should be able to replicate this setup by finding the equivalent contraints, since they do appear standardly thru many software like blender, maya, c4d, etc

I’m trying to rig eyes on a fnaf model that don’t have an eye focus built into it, how would I go about doing that? Edit: I found out that the constraint aim option only appears when I have BOTH models clicked, it even says this in the video. Idk how I missed this obvious piece of info but I fixed it so that’s that I guess! 😅
