remember this game has a lot of things that will change before launch. But yes the animation are quite lacking, but one thing to remember is that more complex animations often mean more netcode going back and forth which is something that MUST be kept to a minimum for a game of this scale.

there are 12 man squads, which can also be converted to platoons of 4 squads, all of which usually work together to a certain objective. Alongside this there is also outfits, planetsides equivalent of guilds which allow you to easily squad up with people u know. there is also a feature called instant action which allows you to drop pod onto an area of interest which is being contested so you can help out, sort of like the game telling you "hey there is a battle here and your help is needed"

The bases on Indar or close to each other. So if you conquer a base you can choose to walk to the next one. There are no matches, it is contstant battle for the continent. You can switch factions by creating a new character for that faction. The new character will start at "level 0".

i don't know if you've already worked it out but you have to go into your menu and manually equip bonus items and add-ons before they will appear on your character/vehicle

Each faction has a base that can not be captured and is protected by a shield. You can capture the entire map except for these sanctuaries and call it a victory. While besieging the enemy sanctuaries, at some moment the enemies will make a push out of the sanctuary to reclaim the planet. There are no matches. There is no reset.

It can be very slow in the search for enemies, but then you can stumble upon big conflicts, which make those slow moments worth tolerating.

Dude, you need to love stream this, There is hardly any videos on it. Best videos I've seen so far are the live streams of TotalBiscuit and E3 and PAX atm, very informative too since they have devs talking about the game, but I'm guessing people want to see some epic battles with some awesome teamplay.

No, except for a small subclass called "implants" which provide minor perks such as increased reload speed, etc. All weapons are permanent.

They get pushed back to their warp gate. Then the other 2 will be too busy fighting each other and you push back. That's the beauty of the 2 faction system

The beta is closed atm. There are a few ways to get into it - either ask a friend for an invite, go to twitter page and ask them for it or you can pay 40$ to get beta invite (and 40 dollars worth of ingame currency which you can use once the game comes out) The game itself will be a Free to play model.

Its all depends on a server to server basis. Also, maybe a lot of VS or TR people are asleep when this video was made. Maybe the NC have a lot of people awake at that time. And when the NC go to sleep, the VS/TR might come and start winning hard out. It all depends.

You know back in the old days, you used the minimap to locate friendlys and just get a touch of your whereabouts. Today, its used to help you locate enemies you would have not seen otherwise. Its digusting.

kind of, but they have like a spawn in Battlefield except that it's massive, they have a big dome from which they can break out from, but yes, it is possible for a faction to lose all of their capturable territory

I'm looking forward to this. From what I hear the weapons and flight mechanics are fairly well done. Would be good to hear some thoughts on the weapons, bullet drop, handling etc. I love BF, but its nice to have something new, its not like BF3 is flooded with new stuff every month. For those that don't like, try it when it comes out and then decide, its free after all.

agree force u to play couple of classes only ( heavy and max) cuz other classes doesnt stand a chance vs vechs or its rare if u play medic that u find some 1 to stick too and random squads r just rly bad...just hope they fix the squad problem and give atleast the main classes a way to survive

I believe every server will have the same 3 continents. One desert, one snow, and one jungle themed with some variety in each.

Yes on low to medium settings, however you might want to look into getting a better processor and gxf if you want to have a really good gaming experience.

Can't wait for this game, the only thing that worries me is its on PC. Not like thats a bad thing its just I've never played and got into FPS shooters on PC, always on console. I hope I can transition smoothly from console to PC since this game is shaping up to be amazing!

love the idea. Give it 5-10 years to give a game like this great animations, destruction and gun play etc and it will be tremendously epic. There's things that are noticeably dated looking which I will try to not get in the way of what else the game offers

Of course you can. But keep in mind that this game allows 2000 people in one server. That's a LOT of players, and it will drag your FPS in the dirt if you don't have a high end PC.

Battlefield 3 resources will run out soon. There is not many videos left to do. Well, at least not for a year more. So moving to PS2 is a very smart choice. Also, BF3 and PS2 are very similar, but different enough to get new subscribers and keep the old ones. He will keep putting BF3 videos, but if you are here just for them, unlike most of us, please stay in the content that you want, instead voting for less content.

You need a beta key to install the beta unless you played PS1 a few years earlier PS2.The fastest way to get a beta key is to go to the planetside 2 twitter page,make a smart tweet wanting a key or make a joke and you will maybe get a key,just keep trying until you get one.

what's the difference with the factions? do they counter each other? and are there other objectives in the game besides expanding your territory? like hunt for npc a, get item b...etc? and howe about the balance of faction? what if one faction have too many territory...won't that be too crowded and make them to imba on fights?

you might, check the system requirements, you require 1 gb ram, 1.6 ghz dual core, and an amd 3670, or gt 120, my friend has a two year old non gaming laptop and meets the specs, its no demanding, and might run well on a 3 of 4 year old pc

a high end pc is needed to play this proplerly..otherwise in large battles the fps will drop dramaticaly...there WILL be zerging even if the map is filled with objectives and stuff..zerging is the best tactic to go..:)
