As cool as that crash scene is, I can't help but be pissed off by the fact that the players had nothing to do with it. So much potential, just thrown away. This entire game had so much potential, but they just threw it away for no real reason. It seems like the modern gaming industries goal is to skirt the boundaries of the customer's tolerance, enough to not piss off the customer, but not enough to truly amaze anyone.

I'm just assuming that you don't have a background in game design I sure as shit don't, but, a giant star destroyer that changes the entire layout of the map seems to me that it would take an extreme amount of work to implement into the game. Also, like what levelcap said, it could have made the game unenjoyable or unplayable once the star destroyer crashed. I mean, just look at the levelution in Siege of Shanghai, after the tower falls, that map sucks. Now let me be clear, I am not defending EA because frankly they have fucked over the consumer many a time, but, I am simply weighing all options before jumping to conclusions.

I will say this, One thing Battlefront did incredibly well was take conventional modes from the battlefield franchise and turned the mechanics around, namely Walker assault and how it changes from attacking and defending multiple times during each session.

If you look at the sky straight up and zoom in you can see hundreds of X-Wings and Tie Fighters fighting each other.. and thousands of green and red lasers that they are shooting. I don't know how much of this battle we will hear about in the movie, but it's by far the largest Star Wars battle ever.

I have to agree a dlc based around the Rogue One film (detailing the how the Rebels steal the plans for the Death Star) would be great. It would of course be set just before episode 4 - and from what I've been able to find out not have much in the way of any force wielding hero or villain - and could also give us another race, namely the Bothans, and mass troop battles like what we're for Jakku. Well done, Dice/EA - this a thoroughly enjoyable dlc :)

I think it should say "droid locking" instead of missile locking when a droid locks onto you. Also maybe a game mode where it's rebels vs. empire in space, but the empire is controlling the guns and goodies in the death star, and rebels are in x wings or y wings trying to blow up the death star. After battle of Endor Rebels became the New Republic.. so when they were driving the Remnats of the empire away, and in the end New Republic gave them small corner of the galaxy to live on probably cos it would have been too costly to destroy them all. So Battle of Jakku was the largest space battles in history of New Republic not rebels. And imperials were named the "remnants of imperium"

They should have added a shockwave that affects players when the ship crashed, just imagine seeing a wave of dust hurling your way as people behind you are shooting at you just to be blinded momentarily! Kind of like that one map from hardline but in battlefront

Very happy that they buffed the walker on Endor. I can't remember the last time that thing made it past the second set of uplinks. In fact I had one match where it got knocked down to 5 health on the first set. It was stupid. I'm happy we won that quickly, but it was stupid.

I imagine they left the patch notes vague so they could test out their changes and tweak it more when the DLC comes to everyone, then release a detailed list. I'm so happy that they buffed the AT-AT on Endor. For the longest time I experienced it being destroyed in the first section almost every round. I stopped attacking it at all as a rebel because I wanted to play longer than 5 minutes, and I think a lot of other people started to do the same because I noticed a decreased amount of weapon fire on the walker withing the second week of playing. I still haven't actually seen the Empire win once. The starting delay is good too because here have been so many times when I'm changing my cards or character and the game starts without me realizing since you have to join manually. I wish the game modes weren't timed though. I hope they do an update or new game mode that plays out like rush where there is an objective for the offense to take care of, but there is a respawn cap. I've played battlefield matches that lasted upwards of 30 minutes and it's awesome because it feels like a huge battle.

This should have been included in the base game. EA/DICE are trying to look thoughtful by releasing these maps a few weeks after the games launch, but in reality it is a way for them to look like they care about their customers.

I was hoping for a dust Strom like battles of the clones. but overall, turning point is a great way to get kills and capture points.
