The previous homeowner left tons of shingles in the barn and would never have thought to use them to level my deadlift platform. Mind is blown dude

Do you have all the details for how you did this?
@DCWoodWorking10 ай бұрын
I just leveled them according to the slope of my garage floor. The easiest method I could think to do it. Has been solid for a year now.

How are you liking this platform? What did you use underneath the platform to level it ? I am planning to building one myself in my garage. My garage floor has a big slope, so hopefully what you did can counter the slope.

If you look back in my videos I used roofing shingles. Works great but takes a bit to get it right especially if you are going to be doing cleans and deadlifts. But once it's settled it's solid.

@@DCWoodWorkingthank you. Well noted. Will let you know how it goes. I love the background music! 😅

Why did you choose roofing tiles? Are you concerned they will move over time? Others I saw used plywood to build a wedge but it appears it took them much longer than your solution.

What wall mounted weight rack is that?
@DCWoodWorking10 ай бұрын
I made it using 2x4s and 2" dowels. Mounted on French cleat hangers. There is a video of it just a few before this one

How did you secure the plywood to the shingles? I’m doing this to half of my garage floor. About 9’7” x 10ish feet

Did you run screws through the osb into the shingles. Did you wing or space a screw every square foot?

Did you have to cut each rubber piece to a different thickness?

Are you referring to the top of the platform or what I used to level it?
