I miss the older tunes like Is this art, Julie, Carry me, No change, Your 'Ouse, Men an tol, I still dig their newer stuff, but its nothing compared to the tunes I mentioned, even B-sides like English civil war, Lowlands of holland, then obviously classics like Battle of the beanfield, Another Man's Cause, Elation, I would love to pick a 25 song set for them, just like all of us, gotta have Rain and snow too, think I slightly prefer Simons voice as his tunes are so, actually I dont know the words, just love both their voices and music.

I get ya man. Their B-Sides over the years have always stood out for me and some of their best work by far, that's not to say the rest isn't good because all their songs are amazing.

Not even glanced their way since the release of Beautiful Day I think, (didn’t have leccy and stuff, passed me by that there was ever an album after the first 3 I think). I’ve still not checked out the back catalog cos frankly the tune titles alarm me, but I found this just recently because upon trying to wish a former convoy member happy birthday only to find he’d died of motor neurone in the intervening year, but, when one door closes another opens. Our convoy left in 99, I occasionally got updates on folk from far off lands (you live life this way you’d amazed at how often you cross paths). And after 20 very long and lonely years I’ve found em, and I’ve never been forgotten anymore than I’d forgotten one of them. It’s true, I travelled in their thought & they’ve travelled in mine, just saving the money for a passport (just to cover my ass post brexit) cos I’m finally going home but seems home is over in France now. Oh and I can listen to the levellers old stuff without crying now, but I’m still not going near the new. I see em at Jersey Live of all places in 06 and I don’t recall any new tunes

Interesting choice, to shoot a video in Exeter Cathedral. The setting seems to complement the tone of the song. I wonder what prompted the choice.
