I really like your coverage of Cata, your tips video was actually rather helpful even for people like me who played it (well at least some of it). I am watching your channel to stay up to date now, when something about Cata comes out. I am literally at level 63 on my Warlock, and now I will just stop at Northrend and get my other chars levelled up at least to Outlands. Honestly, it wont take long at all now. The longest slog is always northrend (and outland to a certain extent) the last levels in outland are going to be a lot faster now for sure more than the lows and mids. The 1-60 is kinda slow in my opinion but actually enjoyable. If you go at a good pace, 24 hours /played maybe

For sure just chill and wait for pre patch. The xp nerf isn’t the only thing that makes it faster. Stuff dies faster, you’re more powerful, less mana problems , the story is more linear, etc

I'd wait, I've just leveled a pally to 61 over the last 2 weeks ( I don't have a current 80) and saying old world questing sucks is an understatement. There's no 3-4 quest hubs in a zone so you can work in an area and complete it efficiently. No, your spending 60% of your time just running around. Getting to outland at 58 was a massive releif

Yeah a big reason I am waiting for my alt to do 58-80 on the prepatch is not only because the exp squish but also the abilities and talent / stat rework from cata making it much easier to kill things with. It's gonna be a good time overall.

You will have all the new spells and abilities introduced in cata, so for example leveling as combat will give you a 100% uptime on Blade Flurry - Making killing multiple mobs at the same time much faster

Let me correct you, there is good reason to level now but only if your a Mage since in the prepatch you wont be able to solo Utgard Keep because the living bomb is getting limit to 3 targets maximum.

Since you’ll gonna be a lot stronger with new talents etc it should be faster. That’s what I experienced in cata when it was retail. If you have heirlooms you’ll outlevel the zones with a few quests

Could you do a video covering them converting arena points randomly after saying it would be 4.4.0. They then released a post the day after converting out of the blue saying they’ve been converted in the latest currency post, doesn’t seem a lot but when you’ve been stacking arena points for literal weeks waiting to see if they dropped the price of arena points gear like previous seasons ( they mentioned this won’t happen finally AFTER they destroyed my arena points ) so I can’t even buy anything I was saving them for and since I was honor capped they had 0 value not even gold.

Levelling right now. Got to 68 shortly after finishing Zangarmarsh (2 bars off). That's not bad at all. Then I hit Northrend. Getting to 70 didn't take long at all, but then suddenly the wall appeared. I'm going to keep pushing so I get the most out of prepatch for gearing, but it would be nice to have that boosted levelling rate right now.

I think it happened more often with the floating particles around the zone. if there were any within range it tanked my pc

One thing you did miss in this video is forgetting that heirloom bonus goes from 25% to 50% if you have the ring, 20-45% without the ring. So yes while joyous journey is going away., We're getting massively reduced XP with 50% bonus from heirlooms so its like we're not even losing it. (We're only losing 20% EXTRA xp with the current 20% bonus + 50% from joyus which the xp nerf should cover) Edit : The legs didnt release until the garrison update in MOP so my comment is inaccurate. We will only have 35-40% bonus if you have the ring not 50%

@@Scottejaye blizz needs to do lvling in tiers. Era 300% increased, tbc 200% wotlk 100% and when you get to cata lvl80-85 the do buff is gone. Only way I see cata going anywhere is getting people to current content.

Levelling is already very fast in outland with Joyous Journeys. I got from 58 to 68 by completing hellfire peninsula and zangarmarsh, doing a few dungeon quests and doing 2-3 quests in Nagrand. It doesn't need to be faster than that or no one will finish any zones in outland.

It may be just me but: I dont like this "forced" speed leveling. Thats nice for a short time but sometimes you just want to take your time for leveling up a charakter. In retail you can level a level 1 charakter up to Dragonflight in barely a day just by running dungeons over and over again. They could easely remove the Eastern kingdoms and Kalimdor it wouldnt even matter level-wise. If there would be an option to experience the leveling process a slower way that would be great.

Outland will be fine without JJ, northrend needed the extra help because it's a garbage continent for questing with a bunch of vehicle quests and waiting for RP sections but Outland has more densely packed go here kill this collect that quests and honestly goes by a bit too fast currently, especially if you're also queuing for dungeons.
