A FREE virtual conference exploring equality of health and care services with, and for, people with learning disabilities and/or autism
Healthwatch England has recently released new figures showing two-thirds of NHS trusts are not giving people with additional communication needs equal access to care. To tackle inequalities it is crucial that staff are able adopt a person centred approach to understanding health and care needs and that people in receipt of services are properly supported with this.
This virtual conference will look at innovations and solutions in health and care settings to promote equality of services for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
It will reflect on the challenges and implications for stakeholders in the sector and explore how positive outcomes can be achieved through innovative practice.
The event will allow a wide range of stakeholders to listen to and participate in the debate including people with lived experience, frontline care and support staff, registered managers, thought leaders and influencers
