My dad and I have been using them for years, not for tactical use. Every time we stop by the gun show booth, they say it has been upgraded/updated. My dad probably has 3x of them, one was lost in the wall of a house while doing a bee extraction. But all in all, they are great.

Thank you for the review James. I used Powertac a couple years ago until I had issues. I bought two E6 lights that didn't work correctly out of the box. I contacted Powertac and was advised to mail them back through the warranty. I did so, and when I received the light back from the manufacturer they still didn't work properly. I contacted Powertac again and the guy I spoke with got shitty with me so I moved on. I will admit I do still own the E5, E9 and the E10 spark which all still work years later.

I have 2 of them I bought about 6 years ago and mounted on mine and my wife’s AR’s. I have since taken them off but mine still worked and hers will come on but won’t switch modes anymore. Ok lights I bought them from our local gun shop. But was surprised hers quit since it didn’t have as much use as mine.

James you should be able to pop that clip off and go bezel up. It should just snap on that other smooth part. I know mine does, I think mines a gen 3 but the tube looks the same.

Also mine G3, has a feature once it gets to hot it will automatically turn down a setting to prevent self damage.

I have a E3 single AAA battery pocket light that is about 12 years old, been through the washer many times and has always and still works! I use this light almost on a daily basis

As E5's go. I have gen 1, 2 and 3. Kept getting the newer ones when they came out. I carry the gen 1 everyday and use it everyday. I tell you what. It wont break miss a beat or stop working. I just had to have the tailcap replaced on my Warrior gen 1. That light went sailing across pavement a bunch of times during training exercises. I cant believe what its veen through in over 10 years and Powertac replaced the tailcap no problem. Also it was only an intermitant issue.

James, thanks for the review. Powertac makes some practically bombproof lights. Have an E9 that does a great job as either an EDC or riding on a rifle. FYI- up to about 15 minutes ago, the code wasn't working. I called Powertac and spoke with Josh, he fixed it while I was on the phone and the code is working now.

I have the m5 Series, No complaints here i Use it from walking the dog to bow hunting To walking in dark areas For security It's an everyday carry All purpose light Light . When the lights go out I can count on that Working.

so that is identical to my thorfire I bought about 3 years ago and just tried to rebuy a few but could not find it .and I'm amazed thin I paid 20 25 bucks for it and it has been through numerous loads of laundry always find it in the dryer. It's a tank best fuck it if I loose it light I have.
