I hate to admit it, but I am so others may not make the same mistake I did. The other night at midnight there was a suspicious person going up to houses in my neighborhood, including my own. After first contact he scurried off but ended up coming back as I was debating whether or not to call the authorities with my neighbor across the street. He started approaching us with something in his hands and I completely forgot to use my light. He approached us while I was on the phone with dispatch so I tucked my shirt between myself and my holster to have quick access if needed. He got about 7 yards away and I commanded him to "Stop right there." He immediately stopped and backed up a couple feet. It was at that time that I saw he had keys in his hand. He ended up getting in his car and driving away but the police caught up to him about 5 blocks later. They seemed to think he was just "weird" and I'm guessing they let him go. Sorry so frickin long, but I'm kicking myself for not getting my light on him as soon as he started approaching us. Remember to use that light!

Love a Firefly mode. I use it to check on my kid in his bedroom before I go to bed.

A few months ago before I moved, I was outside on my porch with a friend around 10PM. It was very dark. A vehicle pulled up about ~25 feet away. The vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and the driver stared at us. I said hi to the driver and he did not respond. Just staring. I placed my hand on my gun and drew my tactician, shining it directly at him and saying hello again. No threats, just wanting to hear a response from him. He took off and I never saw him again. Flashlights are sweet and the tactician is SERIOUS!

I've been EDCing a one-touch strobe for years now: The Powertac Cadet Gen2. It's not quite as convenient as the PowerTac Warrior Gen4 because the user has to set it to strobe, then turn the light off. When deployed and turned on (back button), it strobes. It basically turns on to the mode the user last used.

Awesome video. There are a few other lights that do similar in regards to strobe and firefly mode, but no idea how they are in regards to quality compared to PowerTac.

PowerTac is one of the two companies that offers life time warranty, the other one is surefire, I think that shows they trust their quality so that they would not have to replace or fix too many of their own products.

PowerTac is headquatered in Greensboro, NC, you can reach them by phone that is on their website.

Man alive 300+ lumens on it's second setting that's pretty much enough for most uses. Metres.... don't worry we've had those here in Blighty since the 70s and most people still think in feet/inches. ANYHOW, thank you again, lovely vid and very much food for thought great product.
