Yep I love metal pens! I love my lamys for sure.. the pilot metropolitan is also great steel frame.

Dan , Is the ink MontBlanc Midnight Blue ?

Does it write on the label of the ink "west Germany" how old is your ink? or is it just the bottle refilled? Because the ink performed pretty well

Is the ink or the bottle made in West Germany? If ink is then pretty good performance from an ink of that old.

I got a True Writer in bold, recently. It truly is nothing special. The nib takes a couple strokes to begin flowing, even after a bit of adjusting,. So, it’s OK, but nothing special and the bold nib doesn’t give much line variation.
