Levenmouth Branch: Tracks lifted from Old Cameron Bridge Station | August 2021

Slightly different video, while passing in the area I took a look at the site of the old Cameron Bridge station along the Levenmouth Branch which is to be re-opened with construction due to start in 2022. A brand new station at Cameron Bridge will be constructed on the other side of the A915 road bridge as can be seen in this video. Filmed on the 31st of August 2021.

Remember that station very well used to visit it every 2 weeks doing maintenance on the signal equipment up till it closed,If the public had used it, as they say there going to use it ,the line would never had closed, and went back the track to check the telephone at the level crossing and the distant signal batteries.

I believe the new tracks have been laid on some part of the branch. In the future hopefully there may be some freight traffic as well as passenger

Yeah first mile or so of track has already been laid, opportunity particularly for the distillery here being right next the line again

Here's a film of the English Electric shunter at Cameron Bridge which is now at the Keith and Dufftown Railway in regular use.
