Would be say that he’s wrong? Maybe he would agree since Levi is arguing that drilling is important for aesthetics

Greg Souders does "non drill" quirky drilling. I like what he does but I hate that he acts like it's not drilling.

Interesting video. I'm not saying this to dismiss Levi's opinion. But I think a lot of teachers and competitors say that drilling is very important for injustified reasons: - "Everybody drills therefore drilling is important" -> appeal to popularity. Lots of people have been doing dumb stuff for a long time before discovering that said stuff is dumb (I'm not saying that drilling is dumb or useless). - "Most champions drill therefore drilling makes champions" -> appeal to authority. Maybe drilling had little to do with the excellence of those competitors ? Who knows ? Only science and well conducted research can give a definitive answer on this. - Also, drilling and showing technique drives the jiu jitsu economy itself (Seminars, instructionnals, online content such as mine). It is the best interest of content creator to say "Yeah, watch my stuff, drill it, it'll make you 10x better". Is it true though ? I don't know. Again, I personnaly think that drilling can be useful. But we have to open our minds to the possibility that drilling is maybe *not that useful*. BTW, I'm open to any criticism on my position and I'm not an ecological approach fanboy.

You are just spinning words and concepts but not getting anywhere trying to challenge but hiding at the same time lol Also just own your non drilling curiosity as what it truly is, you are at heart a non driller and that is ok Just keep all that nonsense to yourself some of us like to win our competitions and develop our game Teachers and competitors do not need to justify something if by it’s own self provides evidence through testing and results the way you open mind seems to be good for exploring but is disguise for folly imo
