LEVI’S JEANS | REAL VS FAKE | HOW TO SPOT FAKE LEVI’S JEANS!

Today we are going to be taking a look at Levi’s jeans. Are your Levi’s jeans real or fake? All of the jeans in this video are slightly different.
Jeans used
Levi’s 501 jeans
Levi’s 550 jeans
Button fly jeans
Tips on how to spot fake levi’s jeans
- check the tab on the back pocket
- check the branding on the button for LS & Co
- check the zipper for branding
- there should be 6 rivets on the front pocket area
- four labels on the inside
- certificate of authenticity on the inner pockets
- number on back of the button should match the label
- check the logo on the back of the jeans
- check the logo on the back of the jeans for the following key words:
Levi, Strauss, San Francisco, cal.
Original riveted
Quality clothing
Patented
May 20 1873

These are indeed Levis 550 2003-2010. The other 3 pairs are post 2012. I have 501s and 560s during the same time frame. Notice the stitch on the back inside that say 550. They are probably at least 10 years older or more than the other 3 pair. They now may be considered "vintage." knock offs are much more noticeable and won't be as well made. I would guess they are 2004.

I believe those pair of 550’s have an older logo patch as Levi’s have used that patch design in the past. And I’ve seen 501’s made between 1991 thru 2002 with a similar patch. As you may know over time manufacturing processes very as well as the logos change or get slightly modified. My question is do you know how old those jeans are and how long ago you they were purchased?

Great video! I know many people with fake Levi's. It's hard sometimes to spot the fakes. You really have to look at every detail when analyizing the jeans like you are in this vid. Thanks for sharing.

I bought some pairs of eBay and they didn’t fit at all. They were definitely fake I bet. I have bought some good used one though from real people though. Now I just bite the bullet and buy them directly from Levi’s.

Just wanna say hats off to you , but a lot of people don't have a clue about levi' s jeans , I've been wearing the 501 for 28 years now for 15 years I've been wearing the W29 L30 with 4 button , now I'm in the usa Oklahoma city and I gained a few pound, I can't find any store selling 501 with 4 button , help please

I recently purchased two pair of "levi's 501's." One pair I am pretty sure are fake,(price, fit) and one pair that are genuine 501's. The fakes fit better after shrinking, are thicker and are wearing better then the originals. Not sure what that means but there it is
