@@derekdoeschannel The type 3 styles you show. I have a real nice sherpa lined one as well. It was on the sale rack at Macys for only $30, lucked out on that one. Love wearing these levis jackets

There's no inside pockets in this vintage Levis type III jacket. I do own a modern Levis III Jacket in Dark Wash color and I bought a Sean John Knock off type III jacket $20 recently as well

I have a mens Levi's jean jacket with the big E I found at a thrift shop but its Levi's premium so I think its more recent
@derekdoeschannel4 ай бұрын
Hi and yes, it’s not vintage. Levi’s had ben putting big e on their higher line lately

Hey Derek, how do you wash your vintage denim jacket? Say you just found and bought a vintage denim jacket that has a smell, how do you go by washing it?
@derekdoeschannel4 ай бұрын
You can machine or hand wash it, just don’t dry it. Air dry it. It should take care of the issues.

I'll oxy clean levis in a bucket of hot water and rinse with cold, multiple times if there's stubborn spots. Sorry to the hardcore collectors that are cringing at the thought all the blank patches in my collection of shrunken jeans! Sometimes, I'll go the laundry mat and wash the jeans with a load of towels in a large frontloader after a good soaking.

I wash them, dip them in bleach, tumble dry... they weren't made to be pampered.

Recently found a type 3, the back of the buttons only have 2 numbers which are 52 and the red tab has been cut off, there are also no hand pockets and no inside tags, any help?
@derekdoeschannel3 ай бұрын
Hi, It hard to tell if it's a big E or little e. It's not a modern jacket if that's what you're asking. Is the inside tag also missing?
@beastling97923 ай бұрын
@@derekdoeschannel yes the inside tag is also missing, probably just wore off from wash and wear, I was only able to tell it was Levi’s because of the buttons. I got this jacket for $25 at a flea market, good find?

care tags came at around the same time they went from the big E to the small e , so its definetly not from the early sixties . the darker one is older .

Thanks!
@harveythompson17563 ай бұрын
..the darker one is the superior jacket, probably indigo dyed.
@reazallykhan86146 күн бұрын
Has it got side pockets?
@derekdoeschannel6 күн бұрын
No side pockets. They came in the 80's.

Raise the collar up, it looks Nellie when it's down like a shirt.
@derekdoeschannel11 ай бұрын
I'll think about it, I've never really been a collar up type, in Jean jackets or Polo shirts.
@harveythompson17563 ай бұрын
Whos Nellie ?..you must be Paulie the poser with all your collars up like the Fonz What does the upturned collar symbolize? As it turns out-or up-the popped collar has a long legacy, dating back to the birth of casual fashion extending to the modern age, where it has become a symbol of hip-hop empowerment and pretentious bro entitlement.Feb 5, 2561 BE

521 = USA. 347 = unknown. Care tag labels was introduced post 1971 and that was the same time the intro of small e. Yours could be between era when Levi’s was just using up the leftovers.
