When Levi Stubs passed away a part of me, also died. Not only me but thousands felt the lost. I remember many times seeing the Four Tops @ the Brooklyn Fox Theater all those years ago. When he was laid to rest there wasn't a dry eye in the Church. My son and I will always be fans of the group, Levi will always be in our hearts. God bless you always

+dirk de jonge I never got to see them but having lived on both east and west side of the USA Motown music was HUGE and rightfully so as this man, his voice, style and emotion still stand today as the best of the genre. Even today that sound is still going strong; I've found many young groups through Amazon Prime are experimenting with it,, and with OUT using auto tune; and this is a great tribute to those groups of the past from over 50 - 60 years ago.

It seems that creativity and artistry flourished when production staff, arrangers and composers, (together with the artists and engineers) faced the challenges and limitations of quality equipment albeit somewhat lacking in capacity and redundancy. The syncope and chemistry either was there or we went our separate ways. Respect and validation of each's ideas often led to experimentation never leaving the team feeling like we were reinventing the wheel repetitively. Our plug ins involved a patch bay and a half dozen pieces of outboard gear. Very rewarding.

I just recorded a new tribute vocal of this song the other day and how I wish I could have discovered this one first, to try and get even closer to Levi's incredible performance. I have such deep respect for his talent and literally grew up listening to his many hits with the Four Tops.
