Reminder that Kenny taught him how to defend himself, and one of the first things he was shown doing was spinning a small knife with precision. It's nowhere near as fast like he does here, but it shows he was natural at it. 0:44 to 0:54 - I didn't understand why the Military Police suddenly lost control when Levi shifted his positioning when I first saw this scene, but now I know. When an object is traveling at high speeds, it cuts through the air, reducing air resistance in the area behind them. The Military Police were traveling at high speeds with reduced air resistance because Team Levi was taking the brunt of the air resistance in front of them. When Levi shifted his positioning at 0:44, he created turbulence and the sudden change in air current caused the Military Police to lose control. Because Levi suddenly stopped reducing air resistance for his pursuers by changing his positioning, his pursuers experienced what would feel like a sudden wall of air hitting them from nowhere because the air resistance in front of them suddenly increased while they were traveling at high speeds. The attention to detail with the 3D Manuever Gear scene is spectacular.

Mike Zacharius was literally the only other soldier whose combat skills Levi regularly praised. thePredman#9 Erwin is 100% one of the greatest characters in the show, but I wouldn’t have given him the serum all the same. Erwin clearly suffered from the guilt of having climbed on top of the corpses of his comrades to advance humanity’s goals. Erwin did what he needed to do, and I think it was time to let him rest. Armin also wasn’t a terrible choice as people tend to point out. He’s rather intelligent, and is capable of making decisions in the fly. I know he can’t replace Erwin but I still think it was the right thing to do.

WOW not a lot pf ppl notice this. If you've read the manga version of this, I'm sure you know that what we see here, is not their first meeting. During their very first meeting Levi pulls that move on one of the bandits while Erwin watched from the crowd (Miche was there as well). I always thought that Erwin did that move in particular just to show that the Scouts were different from the MPs which supposedly had the best soldiers of the 3 Military branches. A sort of way to unconsciously rattle Levi or get his attention.

I miss Erwin so bad:(( I remember being so pissed at Mikasa for pinning down Levi who was about to give the serum to Erwin. He was a freakin good character and (imo) he deserves it more. The only thing that made me to let him go when Levi said to let him rest. He carried a very big responsibility and the guilt of his comrades that had fallen under his command, so i guess Levi was right. It's time to let him rest.

i am, to this day, still indecisive about the whole thing. i love erwin so much as well as armin. i agree that erwin deserved to rest after moving through literal hell on earth but he was such a powerful commander. it made armin's sacrifice seem pointless when they brought him back. (i am also a huge simp for erwin so if we got the chance to see him in season four with a titan form i would've passed away😩)
