Thats what happens when your deck only has 2 rookies. And over to levia I'm surprised that he's part swarm deck. Didnt think the envious leviathan would be fine with sharing field space. Although I wonder what rust would replace in his decklist for the levia X cards.

Tested the deck out, unfortunately with the Melga engine lol but Levia X with its new option is nutty. It's like another Beelzemon X and 7 Full Cluster evo combo except it's a complete board wipe.

The bricking that this version of the GraceNovamon deck seems to face pretty often can be made less common by adding BT11 Biyomon to the deck as it can search for the red tamer and any of the Coronamon line. You can also make it less painful to hard play the level 4s by adding some copies of red and blue memory boost to the deck. There's still a fair amount of brick potential, but now it's less of a problem.

True but the main problem of Jogress decks is by using consistently boost cards you run the problem of bottom decking important cards like Dianamon in this case

It can be done, but the problem with legit-two color decks is not having the right color source to play an option. I only ever ran Blue Memory Boost in Examon because I ran blue eggs, and I hated bottom-decking my green pieces to the point I took it out. Could I run Green Memory Boost? Sure, but what if I don't open rookie? What if I don't have the right color Champion/Ultimate/Mega? The risk was never worth the reward. That's the problem with these legit-two colored decks - we need a consistency piece that can search for either without being abused in decks outside of archetype. Idk what the solution is. - Varni

@digiguardunited I would say an option card that lets you search for the type instead of color, or a tamer that lets you grab both colors like Davis. Also, the option should be 1 color, based on whatever egg they decide should be the base. Unlike the option card for RagnaLordmon

Would this also be the case for a Digimon like Chaosdramon X if he has both EX1 Machinedramon and Chaosdramon with at least four lvl 5 Digimon sources? I know this comment is 3 months old but they've recently updated the rulings for Leviamon Now GraceNova is able to use its protection effect for a second time against cards like Leviamon. The same rule applies to Machinedramon's protection effect too

Question, would thay same ruling apply to a Digimon having two instances of Retaliation?(for those unaware, multiple instances of Retaliation actually interact. If a Digimon somehow survives the first Retaliation, the 2nd one deletes the Digimon)

When watching these matchups in these tournament style videos I really like to see both decks at their best. Unfortunately, this video showcased grace nova bricking hard the first 3 or so turns. While it did eventually get into grace nova, I really don’t think this video did it justice. Admittedly leviamon should win this matchup most of the time due to that ruling. I just think it could’ve been done with a video that better showcased both decks, rather than just leviamon. Even the leviamon deck mostly popped off from the double daemons. Didn’t show off the actual main digi that much. Still a great vid with fantastic editing, music, etc. I just would’ve liked to see the actual match go slightly differently

When the SkullSatamon was played, I was sure that was gonna be the digivolution to Leviamon. Idk, I guess that's what happens when the match doesn't play out for one side as well? Question about the leviamon ruling: does this counts for Wargreymon’s stacks? There is protection from Greymon X and Metalgreymon X also Altarious Mode. They are on the same digimon but are they considered different effects? As I understand 1 effect can’t avoid both instances of Leviamon but Greymon’s are different instances??

That's kind of a redundant question since you have to suspend to resolve Evade. Any effect that would unsuspend you would always trigger after resolving the current one, so evade wouldnt work regardless of the ruling.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting such an answer from Bandai itself regarding the removal prevention of the same single effect. A shame that GraceNova was swallowed by the greedy Levia and the 7GD members. Kudos to Alice and Dober for rushing onto the field for a comeback, as well as Daemons for milling Grace's entire deck. Favoritism for the deck aside, this match kind of really objectively sucked. One deck full bricked for 3 turns, while the other skipped attacks for just as long for no tactical reason. And then once one actually gets going, it gets stuffed by a ruling technicality that, by all accounts, shouldn’t even exist (I’m firmly of the opinion that “you can’t actually do your effect here because of x specific timing” should never be a thing, thanks Yugioh) and just has to pass turn to its death. What a thoroughly unsatisfying way for a controlled-environment showmatch to end up; could you really not get any matches that felt better than this?

It's not a once per turn though. If it gets hit by a Rivals' Barrage twice in one turn it can save itself from both deletions. The reason it cannot save itself from Leviamon's deletion effect is due to the processing of an ongoing effect where both deletion targets are thrown upon GraceNovamon, and according to the ruling, you can only interrupt once per effect. So 2 deletions in the same effect outweigh the 1 interruptive effect. Now if it was something like the case of Beelzemon (X Antibody) with 2 Seventh Full Clusters returning to deck bottom, as each is a separate effect, GraceNovamon's effect can save itself from both as there are 2 different resolution of effects. - Varni
