What if 2 blacks n 2 whites? Put both black on brass and both whites on silver?

Yes, if it is not the switch leg cable wires.

Why did you not hook the ground wire? Wouldnt that mean its not up to code??

Where? There is no ground connection on the keyless socket and it is up to code.

My points of contact look nothing like these. The screw has a metal bracket beneath it. If I loosen the screw, it never separates from the bracket enough (before the screw comes completely out, at which point the little bracket falls off too) to get the wire wrapped around it.

This is America. We use standard units. I agree though I have metric/standard tape. I use what ever unit is easy to read
