Levon Helm Band - Rag Mama Rag - Ramble at the Ryman

Levon and his band took his legendary Midnight Ramble jams on the road and performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville that aired on PBS.

Don't believe I've ever watched anyone enjoy playing music as much as Levon Helm. He is a joy to watch, and I'm so sad he is gone.

Levon was always about the music. I was lucky enough to meet and talk to him when I was just a 17-year-old kid, just after "Stage Fright" came out. Nicest guy you can imagine. Being from Arkansas, as well, I also got to meet his parents, Diamond and Nell. Again, the NICEST people ever...they even let me play Levon's mandolin! They don't make them like that anymore.
