I used to have Mach reels and loved them, but now my box is Custom Pros, a Magnesium Pro, 2 Lites and 2 Pro Ti. There is a drastic difference between the higher end reels and entry level but they do get the job done.

I wouldn’t say a big difference but I don’t think you can make a bad decision picking any of them.

I picked up a Gen 1 TI Pro from a buddy of mine barely used for $125...He needed the money but the only reason he let it go is because he had 2...I paired it with the matching TI pro rod and i gotta tell ya i couldn't be happier with that setup...been crushing river Smallies with it on a chatterbait.

Thanks for the vid I have Gen 1 Hypermag and Pro TI I love em both but the Custom Pro which costs less is my favorite depending on the situation. Are your comparisons between new Gen 2 vs used or new Gen 1s??
@JB3_fishing2 ай бұрын
All my comparisons are based on my personal experiences using the reels. I try my best to use them before I talk about them so I can the pros and cons for a fair review.

I picked up the pro TI elite for 350 at land big Fish when they had their sale no way is the elite reel is worth $500 I can buy a Daiwa steez for 100 dollars less
@JB3_fishing7 ай бұрын
What didn’t you like about it?
@MONGO5737 ай бұрын
What I didn’t like about it was the price it’s a doyo reel made for lews don’t get me wrong. Lews makes awesome stuff. But at that price point Shimano and daiwa high-end reels I can get from Japan for over $100 less than the cost of the lews
@GodGunsGills5 ай бұрын
@MONGO573 agreed, but I'm just addicted to the Lew's brand, logo, name, colors....
@MONGO5735 ай бұрын
@@GodGunsGills there is nothing wrong with Lews reels I own own a bunch myself but compared to the Japanese reels they are not in the same league in my opinion and at that price point of $500 plus tax for me I rather have the Japanese reels I will let you know how the pro Ti elite fishes and you have a great day and I hope you catch a giant bass in the teen size

21 Zillion over anything and everything Lews. $200 from Japan is a ridiculous deal for what you're getting.
@JB3_fishing3 ай бұрын
@@SILKYSMOOTH30FPS If you say so but if it breaks you get NO warranty for it either so to buy a JDM reel and no warranty sounds like a waste of moment imo
@SILKYSMOOTH30FPS3 ай бұрын
@@JB3_fishing Who breaks baitcasters, tho? Cheapo baitcasters are really hard to break, let alone a high quality Made in Japan one. This "you have the warranty when buying in the US" is just an excuse of making you purchasing a far inferior reel. And this applies to Daiwa themselves as well. Buying the Zillion G that is made in Thailand, and costs $170 more (before taxes) is the biggest waste of time and money there is. With the current yen, ignoring JDM gear is simply foolish.
