My absolute favorite reel is the tourney pro! I have 2 of them, 3 pro SPs, 3 BB1pros, 2 custom XPs , 2KVDs and 14 LFS Speed spools. May get a Custom Pro if I see one on sale! Thanks JB! Love all your info!

I should’ve mentioned the Tourney Pro as an honorable mention. Because that’s one of my other favorites but I’m more inclined to grab one of my Top 5 before the Tourney Pro. It would’ve been 6th.

My favorite is the tournament pro because my wife can cast it all day without asking me to fix her blow up 🤣 i like my Machs and my tournament pros but my favorite, for my use, is the tournament mp. Great real, great price, and I can cast it down to my backing line or flip it. Tried the new custom pro......I ended up sending it back.

@@JB3_fishing Hey John! The one I received I couldn't cast as far as my other reels. When I tried to play with it to get as much out of it as possible it just kept blowing up without thumb control, bad blow ups. I mean really bad and it still wouldn't cast as far running it on the ragged edge. With thumb control it wouldn't blow up but that's the whole selling point of this reel. I wanted something simple and easy for my wife and this just wasn't it. Disappointing but it kind of worked out for the best, she hated the color 🤣

$99.00 reel is the best for the money. Never ever had an issue with any of them and I have approximately 25-30 reels.

The Lews Custom Lite and the non gold Custom Pro are the pinnicle of Lews casting reels. The pro ti and hyper mag are not improvements, just a typical lews gimmick. I fish mainly Lews, but they are a gimmick company for 75% of the reels.

What exactly do you mean by a gimmick company?

Theu currently offer 31 different baitcasters. Out of those 31, 6-8 are good, serious, non-gimmick type reels. The mach 1, mach 2, mach crush, kvd, American hero, hyper mag, elite ti, pro ti, inshore....and on are gimmick reels. Their purpose is to make sales with a name or a paint job. Even the higher end ones, hyper mag and the Ti reels are. They offer nothing other reels in the line up dont already. They aren't any lighter, don't offer improved bearings or gearing, and only rhe 500 dollar one has a newer brake system (which is a step back from the ACB)
