Lew’s Xfinity or Abu Garcia Max STX which is a better Baitcaster for you?

I don't have any experience with Abu Garcia but I do have a lews mach 1 combo and it is an exceptional all around rod . I can go up to an ounce lure and down to a weightless fluke with no issues

I didn’t get the combo since I like fishing a left-handed reel. I’m right handed… combos were Right-handed only. Matched the Max STX with a Vengeance rid, and also a Black Max with. Vendetta rod. Still cold here so will be away before I try them The Vengence rod is a 7’6” heavy. The Vendetta I believe is a 7’3” medium fast.

Yes. It’s a good combo, personally I’d go with the Max Pro or Jordan Lee if you can handle the added cost. Hope it helps. Let me know what you got with. And how it works for you. Cheers

Great clean video, you definately deserve more subs buddy. Any reasons to pick the Abu STX over the Max X by the way (reel only)? Too many good & cheap reels nowdays, Im getting confused and buying too much gear :D

I had both of these on my list, I was gonna get one or the other and I ultimately got the abu max stx because bass pro shops wanted to charge me $35 for shipping, so I bought the max stx off Amazon, delivered next day. What a joke. The max stx has been an outstanding combo!

I have the abu Garcia combo and it doesn’t cast far. Do you know why?

It’s a mix of brakes and spool tension for me, does it work well with heavier lures?

Between the xfinity and the daiwa c80 combos, which would you prefer?

Both great as a starter combos. But honestly the Diawa is just a better reel in my opinion. Mine I’ve used for Jigs, frogs, Topwater etc.

@@greatamericansurvival it depends on the C-Series, the CC80 is a plastic frame, CG80 and CA80 are amazing Reels and the G is Graphite, A aluminum and there is a CR I haven’t tried. The Composite Frame just flexes a little under load but is an amazing Caster. It’s hard not to like a Daiwa Reel and I like all the C series but Longevity is an issue with the Carbon Composite frames. The Lews Xfinity is like the Daiwa CG equivalent but casts better and just feels tighter. The sub 100 dollar Daiwa Reels are great starter Reels but Lews is a WAY better deal for the quality you get..

@@greatamericansurvival set it up with a 3/8 oz spinner and walked to the canal across from my house. Feels really nice and smooth, got it dialed in pretty easily. Didn't catch anything, but that canal is pretty hit and miss, only every caught 3 bass in it. Taking it out to the favorite lake tomorrow.

@@FirstInFlightFishing I still use it every time I go out. I take 7 rods out, and that one always has a spinnerbait on it. Holding up fine, just need to the do the normal oiling you'd do on any reel. Have had no major issues with it, just user errors.
