As a retired teacher and coach, I can tell you that nothing gives a student more confidence when a teacher shows such great enthusiasm when a student is successful. I love your teaching method. Not condescending or demanding, full of enthusiasm instruction and correction. Well done. Love your content. Wish I would have learned to fly but now I live my life vicariously through you.

Wow. That's incredible to read and I very much appreciate it! It's such a thrill to see someone succeed under your tutelage. It's a pleasure to be a part of and it manifests in my outbursts of elation at times haha.

I'm very fortunate that I was able to find Lewis and have him agree to take me on my first and second flight. I had no idea how much he was going to challenge me, I did not expect him to allow me to do so much with the aircraft at this point in my training. I appreciate his trust in me and I hope to learn as much as I can from him, so I can become a great pilot one day.

That kid is a legend! Was really cool to see your enthusiasm for his abilities when he landed all on his own, and then right on the markers after that. I hope he comes back for more training and we get to see more videos of this natural born aviator - what a great video!

For all of the student pilots who have unrealistic expectations of the minimum time requirements for solo and checkride, this kid may actually have to actively build time to get to the 40 hr minimum at this rate

The VR simulators (most notably X-Plane 12) are underrated

Agreed. They don’t simulate everything perfectly but they can be a big help as Lucas proved.

The boy has some time in a simulator for sure. MSFS can really help build and maintain the fundamentals if you watch videos and practice in the sim the way you should do it in a real plane. That said, the young man will need some humbling to keep from getting a cocky hazardous attitude. :)
