Thanks for talking about monopolies in the United States, Lewis! It's the first thing that I said when I heard about the Taylor Swift concert. It's like a set up to deflect the anger onto the artists, who don't get the extra money that the fans are screwed out of anyway! If the ticket costs more than $50 or $60 no working person could ever afford to go to any live performance!

Hi Lewis. I've lived in a lot of tourist areas around the western hemisphere from Hawaii to Maine. From the caribbean to Lake Tahoe. Everywhere I hear the same rants about tourists. Personally, I've always enjoyed dealing with tourists. They're usually trying to have a good time and they really enable an awful lot of locals to live in a place that other people want to visit. Also, don't forget that when you go on vacation, you are the tourist.

I hate to say it, but we are our own worst enemy when it comes to affordable housing. Everyone in America wants affordable housing for everyone else until they get a house of their own. When you get a house of your own, you want the value of your home that you own to rise as much and as fast as possible. You go from thinking about others to thinking about yourself. Here’s the rub we know what it takes to fix the problem with affordable housing. You simply have to build the houses. You build houses that people can afford they buy them problem solved. However, this would create another problem. We don’t talk about it but when you build more houses you in affect make the houses already available less valuable. Think about it this way if there are 5 houses on the block and 20 people want to buy houses those houses will go up in value because of simple supply and demand. Now what happens when you suddenly build enough houses for everyone those five houses that were going to go up because of supply and demand don’t go up in value like they had the potential to. so you find out that most people who owned property in America we would prefer if the value of our homes went up sure sure sure we’d like affordable housing. Just don’t build enough of it for everyone. In fact, if you don’t build any of it it’s better for me. I say this is a homeowner who bought a home in 2019 for $72,000 in Michigan in three years. My home is gone up in value $50,000. That’s ridiculous but that’s what homes in my area are selling for right now not even large homes two bedrooms one bathroom 3/4 of a finished basement. $120,000 if you add an extra bedroom prices sore. I have seen homes in my area being offered for $200,000. This is unheard of these are just three-bedroom homes in what would be considered, barely a suburb of Michigan. So yes, we have an affordable housing crisis but it won’t be facing anytime soon because we love that money.

Sell your own tickets. The Grateful Dead used to. I don't think that performers have to be wed to Ticketmaster. Set your own prices. Use USPS and accept post mark date limit, limit ticket number to a certain name and address. Maybe that would help. Don't perform at venues that require Ticketmaster.

I wish they'd just be honest with the American people about guns and the second amendment. Congress is basically saying: "Sorry 'bout yer dead kids, an' all. But the right to own guns is just more important than your kid's right to go a safe school. Or to a movie theater. Or shopping, to a nightclub or even to church. Thoughts, prayers and all that. But guns have more rights in America than your kids do." It's not how it ought to be, but it's how it is. And that's how it's going to stay unless and until the American people decide to wrest their constitution back from the corporate and special interests that currently own the US government.

The natural progression of anything is for that thing to get better, so we have seen the gun go from a flintlock one shot a minute to a hand gun the size of your palm that can hold 7 bullets and reload quickly. The only way for guns to go is more and more dangerous, I feel the concious thought is to only make breach loaded one shot rifles. Still can hunt and protect, you want an ar 15? You will want it enough to do months of paperwork... a little deterent

Because the tool is literally not the motive, we need to get to the root of these problems and it's not only guns. And you're not generally allowed to own "automatic weapons" in the US and absolutely no mass shooting has EVER used an automatic weapons, talking about this accurately is important.

Take it from a Canadian where we are currently loosing the little gun rights we have, Guns don't kill people, people kill people, and if you take away their access to a gun they will use something else, just like the two brothers who stabbed multiple people in multiple locations a few months ago in western Canada did, getting rid of or blaming the fact that people have access to guns is just taking the quick and easy route, it's like blaming the lighter for the cigarette giving you cancer, all while ignoring the social issues leading these people to do do the things they do, lots of people have guns that they've never fired at anyone either because they've never been put into the position to need to or they don't have social and mental issues such as poverty and or drug addiction.

I fully support teachers having guns. We should arm all licensed teachers, who have more than 1 full year of experience, at taxpayer expense. And also give them full immunity for any incident that involves a student (past, present, or future), parent of one of their students (past, present, or potentially future), any extended family member of one of their students (past, present, or future), a person related to (in any way) a student that attends a school within 10000 miles of the county where they live or teach, or any situation that involves any person(s) who is a politician, public figure, or espousing political-related personal views. Let the teachers use their best judgement, or whatever they've been left with at the moment, to keep the children (or whatever) safe. We should arm nurses, too. Same thing.
