I was at the dog park and was reminded of the rubber chicken. I had grabbed a dog toy that had ended up in a tree. I threw it over a pack of dogs. After a mad dash, a brown Labrador bit down and a ridiculous sound squeaked. Then squeaked again again and again. The Labrador danced around and squeaked that toy, over and over again. Every dog and every person turned and looked at the squeaking brown Labrador. It was then I realized why the squeaky toy had been up a tree.

On the bank runs, Lewis tells it straight, but to add details: those banks were over-invested in Treasury Bonds, no investments in Crypto … so it’s actually legit the Gov’t is bailing out those T-Bonds. The Banks had customers like Coinbase, who, with dropping Crypto prices, suddenly had to pull ALL their cash. 😮 That sucked up all available liquidity, leaving only stuff like Bonds, with future payout-dates. - Bank has to sell these early, for a loss … posts billions in losses, and then Peter Thiel panics and pulls $billions more out. 💀 R.I.P. share prices.

Usually you have to wait until October for the banks to find them self on the short end of the stick. I don’t know what it is about October except I was born in that month hell man the biggest drops in banking and stock history was on my 45th birthday. But October is generally the month when the stock market and the banking industry gets really really fucked up so we got that to look forward to.

Listen up, you joy-hating heathens: i raise real chickens and those fuckers cost money AND live only about 4 to 5 years. Yes, they lay plenty of eggs, true enough, but chickens rarely make me laugh, and when they die I get to dig a hole and toss the poor fucker in and shovel dirt over my dead hardworking friend. The Rubber Chicken, however, requires no food, no water, very little shelter and, as we found out, the sounds of human laughter. No eggs? Well, DUH. It’s a RUBBER CHICKEN, you leptons.
