NONE of this $6 billion (which Iran's money...not from the US) has gone to Iran, yet. It is sitting in a bank in Qatar. At this point, none of it will probably go to Iran. Finally, it was for humanitarian aid and food only.

It's the exact same logic the conservatives use to argue against helping the poor with stuff like food stamps and free health care, if you free up any money they'll just spend it on drugs/alcohol/gambling, because all poor people love stupid/bad things and all rich people hate them (note, conservatives actually believe this, I don't). I saw the Vegas show. I loved seeing you on stage! I think this city is cursed with construction. It never ends, especially on the strip. For some reason a lot of the newer or renovated casinos are very much just the same. Clean and basic. I grew up with the themed casinos and while there's a few out there still, the loss of the Mirage is a hard one. That volcano is likely to never erupt again because of the Hard Rock buy out and Formula 1 construction. It sucks. They want all the people possible to visit, but somehow not want to help them get around to as many attractions possible here?? How is that supposed to work?!

As a couple of people who took a few history classes, read a few history books on our own, and paid attention while history was happening around us, I imagine you are wondering, as I am, why we humans continue to repeat the same actions over and over again. It is still a mystery to me why a people who were locked up and murdered in masses, turn around and behave the same way towards other humans. I don't get it. 🤦‍♂ Guess the ancient passages in the Torah saying it is ok to kill people off in the middle east takes precedence over a more recent experience of how bad annihilating people was in Europe. As a humanist, I can't agree with this point of view.

I think we should revoke the driver's license of the Sterling, Kansas, city official just in case they became apoplectic while driving when a real rainbow appears in the sky. Make a movie where she has to get a chauffeur to drive her around. Call it "Driving Miss Loopy." Put in a scene with Lady Gaga singing, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," on the car radio. Cut to the back seat showing the look on Miss Loopy's face. These people are supposed to be "good" christians? What is the proper term for all-obtuse in Latin? Omni-obtusis? Three bricks over being thick (in the head)?

In the middle of watching this, I had to pause to write this. Who is going to yell about what you eat ? I am an ethical vegan. I’m not yelling at you. I eat the way I need to. You eat your way. We each make the choices we need to. Do I wish the whole world was vegan? Of course. But, I’m an adult, and I can’t judge other people’s life experiences. ( for the most part). I would hope for respect for my choices. Judgement is easy and swift. Why can’t we have conversation and tolerance? And, yup, still crushing…. Lol.

It's actually even more toxic, people who obsess over celebs have a puerile infatuation with an image that has mostly been created by execs and handlers, the info we 'know' about celebs is as likely as not wrong because none of it actually matters, and it's just good business sense to make the story one that sells well. At least wallpaper doesn't make up drama to gin up interest, and you can happily project what you actually want onto that wallpaper, a celeb will almost always disappoint you at some point, then you either stop being a fan or become a bit more of a hypocrite.

I think you mean 'stupid people's mental development will never get past high school', and since most people are stupid, our society can seem 'stuck' at that level. For me life is nothing like high school (I do construction and farm work), I think if your job is practical (ie actually matters to the daily function of the world) you have to grow up, but if you're in a make-work job, like an office or something, (or are a wanna-be celeb haha) then yep, it's still the same popularity contest as high school.
