This was amazing. Lewis is so genuine and willing to share. While Leighton is also working really hard to make what he's dealing with known. This was as good as it gets.

My daughter's boyfriend has Tourette's. His tics are similar to Lewis's. He has been bullied and people have been so rude when he tics. I appreciate Lewis bringing awareness!

What a cool conversation. I always love watching Aussies kiwis and Scottish interviews I feel like we all have similar humour and banter - this was just a really natural conversation between mates and I wish it was longer! ❤

This struggle is real. I was one of the fortunate ones that have overcame this; but it is super rare. Everything he said is 100% accurate. Having to hit that pitch, touch a spot, smell a smell, ugh. It sometimes comes back to rear it's ugly head, but it's less than it ever was. Love this share.

Lewis and Leighton = best buds, you too would have a riot, hanging out together. Though saying that, I think anyone would have a brilliant time with you, because you seem so easy to be around. Great music and a great person ❤❤

I love this interview. Not that i knew anything about it before. My brother passed away at 50 yrs old in 2017 with heart and cancer but he had some tic's similar to you growing up and as an adult. He constantly licked his lips, sniffing his hands fingers and constantly clearing his throat or making a weird noise.. please advocate we need more of this.. love you guys ❤

This was so good. A great genuine conversation about tourettes, they should be had often, and publicly. Thanks for this!

There definitely isn’t enough Tourettes awareness around the world it’s heartbreaking. My husband has it and took him about 2-3 years to get a diagnosis while his tics was getting worse!! He went to see some goats a few weeks ago (one of his favourite animals I might add) and they make him tic really bad, he was trying to see if being near them would help him sorta cure the tics (the word goat also gives him a tic attack) but it didn’t help. Leighton and Lewis I follow both you guys and have done for a very long time, you should get together and help spread more awareness about Tourettes syndrome. Much love to both you guys ❤❤

I am not diagnosed medically but I twitch a lot when I was young for almost 2 decades. The twitching is so bad that my right side of neck hurts so bad cause the twitching is severe on my neck area. I noticed that I dont twitch when I am sleeping so I realized that my twitching is self inflicted so I trained myself psychologically to stop my body from twitching. The first two months is the worst part cause the struggle between my body and brain to cooperate to stop twitching is really hard. Whenever my brain lose control, I just stop, sit, closed my eyes, take a lot of deep breath until my brain regains control over my body. I'm twitch free for years but when covid hits, I got stressed a lot and start twitching again. At first I tolerate it caused it gives me relief then I got addicted again to twitching for four months then I recognized that I need to stop. I go psychological training again and I'm twitch free up to now. Now my case may not be tourette cause I am not medically diagnosed.

Im a sufferer, have been all my life watching others tic triggers the fuck out of me. What ill say is most days i can. Now I control my tics to the extent that most people dont even know i suffer, rhats not by celebration or raising awareness or allowing them, its by daily surpressing and fighting them until some days im abke to almost forget. Dont lwt the tics take over, ots a scsle and youbhave to gradually work on the balance and eventually you can win. 30+ yeats experience dealing with very similar levels to what lewis is seeing now. My eyes and body used to be physically bruised and tired if tic so much. I do the opposite of whatever ots trying to do, if a muscle wants to contract, i strwtch it. Fast blinks, i force slow, lean left i slowly lean right. Anyway, hope that helps somebody, any sufferers reach out. Much love.

Yeah that's what me and my dad asked when my new specialist said I have Tourettes and we're like okay so it's not any type tics That will gradually go away with time. This is something more serious and we are just like oh my goodness. We have a big case on our hands so we weren't expecting it. We knew something was up but like I said all my old doctors would send me home and says anxiety when nothing stopped EVERY TIME I GOT SENT HOME EVERYTHING GOT WORSE THROUGH TIME! And we kept going back and they still wouldn't give me a legit answer That's why I find private doctors so much better than regular doctors cuz regular doctors DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY'RE DOING AND DON'T EDUCATE THEMSELVES ENOUGH ABOUT EVERYTHING LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO like isn't that what doctors are supposed to do know everything Is that why they go to school to learn to know what's going on with people A lot of doctors should not be in the field and a lot of nurses shouldn't be either cuz they're not good You don't push someone away YOU HELP THEM LIKE YOU SAY YOU WOULD WHEN YOU SIGNED UP! If you doctors and nurses don't really care about people WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU IN THE FIELD THEN oh yeah I forgot It's all about the MONEY You people don't care about the patience. All you care about has how much dough you can get FREAKING SAD AS HELL IS WHAT I THINK

My new specialist say that I should have been diagnosed at 20 years old with Tourettes not at 31 years old. No one knows really how hard tourette's can be. I never asked for it. I never wanted it. I just thought I had tics and eventually buy therapy or some hope they would go away. But I had a really strong case of tourette's saying it came with a vengeance. It really did and when I was having the rage attack in the emergency room that was not me. That was a whole different person. I didn't even recognize myself and it scared me half to death like when they told me all that was happening and they showed footage of me because they had cameras in the room and literally I was recorded and you can't imagine the tears and the horror in my face. When I saw how I was acting I couldn't stop. It was a full-on rage attack. I was trying to kill myself to be brutally honest with everyone I really was. I was really trying to kill myself. Tourette's is very debilitating. It can be very frightening to have because it turns you into a monster you don't want to be. It's turned me into a monster that is on a recognizable to me. I don't recognize myself anymore because of it. It's led me to a dark place that I don't want to be a part of, but I'm a part of the dark anyway because I have Tourettes I don't TIC ALL THE DAMN TIME EVERY DAY It doesn't work that way My case may be complexed and severe but I don't tic every single day

Sharing - in 2015, I was choked to death by a man who jumped on my back and it was just 2 months after I got hit by a car on my bicycle with my head landing 1" from oncoming traffic. Anyway, as a result, I now have a speech impediment and turet's like twitches. Anxiety and stress sucks. But it usually happens to highly intuitive and intelligent empathetic people who wouldn't hurt a soul. God bless. And yes, God the Almighty himself saved my very life that day.

That was a verbal tic from Uncle Tics, as he has Tourettes so he can't always control what he says. We leave in all of his tics when editing to educate and spread awareness to tourettes
