Ok I've been binging these full interviews now. Sean and his team put together some of the best interview questions. And one of the greatest aspects of this is Sean's ability to mirror the guest - not just in how they consume wings, or reach for water/milk, but the energy, the language, and it just obviously comforts the guest. This is magical! I'm learning so much about interviewing from watching these.

Part of why Sean is such a good host is that he plays off the energy of his guests so well. If they're rowdy, he is too - if they're takin it slow, so does he. It really helps the pace feel comfortable every episode. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Man, this was so funny! It was so cute that he and Sean had met before and he saved the personalized intro. I've heard his songs of course, but I think I started learning more about who he was when I saw a viral clip somewhere of one of his concerts where his tics started acting up onstage and it turned into an impromptu audience-led segment. It was really sweet to see all his fans help reassure him through what I imagine would otherwise have been a high-stakes scenario. Seems like a great guy and I like him even more after this interview, he was so funny. Best of luck to him.

This was possibly the funniest episode ever. I loved all of the references to previous episodes and guests! He knows the show so well! He is one of us! All fandoms love an inside joke, a niche reference and Hot Ones fans are no different. In all seriousness, I’m now a Lewis Capaldi fan because this interview shows that his personality is 10/10. One of my favorite episodes of all time.

@@MatthewJBD I don't think he is or even if he is has very little to do with Lewis becoming a top performer in music. My wife is a professional in mental health and to see someone ignoring all barriers (and naysayers) and achieving on this competitive stage is liberating for so many. Only a very few has ever made it. I think his success is worthy to be celebrated. It is his success. So please do not try to belittle that. He has had (and constantly have) way more struggles than what you or me have to deal with.

As someone who grew up with similar ticks to Lewis, its so refreshing to see him embrace them and not let it affect his day to day life too much. Appreciate since filming this he's had to take some time out but people do not realise how difficult it is to be in the limelight when you suffer from ticks and tourettes.
@ItsMeBliz Жыл бұрын
Defo! People think it's hard to watch, they can't imagine how stressed you feel knowing people are watching you and your trying your best to hold it together but your nerves are on fire screaming at you to tic despite the fact your trying to hard to hold back. In my tougher times I would feel so mentally drained all the time... It's like leaving your cars lights, radio, hazard lights and heaters running all night then wondering why it doesn't want to start up straight away the next day.
