@@juliastarkey9266 LLCs are awesome if you want to ensure being surrounded by people with similar interests, and they are not a huge source of commitment either. If there is one you are interested in I would 100% recommend applying, especially if you want to have a better chance of being in that specific dorm. I could give you some insight on the LLCs you are checking out if you send me the names of the ones you are interested in. :)

@@juliastarkey9266 Yeah! So vapa is in platt-howard, and the whole hall is pretty centered around the arts even outside of the vapa "zone". I believe being in vapa gets you access to the plateau (don't quote me on that lol), which is the mini art studio downstairs in platt and it is really cool. So essentially, if you really want to be in platt-howard and you love the arts, then for sure apply for the LLC!

Thank you for making these, I am coming to LC as a freshman this fall and these are so nice to just watch when I feel a tad nervous about leaving home (I live in southern California). I going to live in Howard hall for the upcoming year, do you have any information that like all pamphlets and stuff would not have already told me? :)

Hey Jack! I'm also from southern California, and I'm glad these videos have helped! I think I have only been in howard once... but I hear the rooms are pretty spacious especially compared to platt. Platt is connected by a bridge and I think the main common room for both is in platt, and it is pretty nice! Find me on instagram if you want to reach out with more questions!

of course!! I think that the forest dorms foster the tightest communities, but if you're into athletics definitely copeland!

Hi! Yes, so the forest dorms are super fun because the shape of the buildings allows for a close community, and Alder has new kitchens that are awesome! Platt and Howard are a little more traditional in structure and tend to be super artsy overall.

Hey Reilly! Thank you! You can have an electric kettle and a microwave in you room, but other cooking is done in the residential kitchens. There is a kitchen in every hall, but some are bigger than others.

Hello! I'm looking into applying, are you enjoying your experience so far? Is the tuition super expensive? How is Portland as a city?

Hi Diego! I love LC as a school- a lot of my other videos I have posted can show that haha! Tuition as a sticker price is super expensive, but they offer scholarships, aid packages, work-study, and many other ways to make LC financially attainable. Portland is amazing and so close! Our free shuttle/bus takes you straight into the "real" city from our cute neighborhood on the hill. I like to say that Portland is a mix of the best parts of L.A. and Seattle. I also have a lot of bits from the city in other videos, so check them out and shoot me any more questions you have before applying!
