He was and will always be a top man. Simply a Brilliant actor. I watch the Professionals to this day due to it being screened currently on british tv. If you have a bad day..switch the telle on and watch an episode of the Professionals..you'll smile in no time and all your troubles will be forgotten straight away.

Lewis Collins was an overlooked and underrated actor! People couldn't see past the action man machismo, however, he possessed range and depth that went beyond the action man exterior! He could show menace, charm or inner pain with the flick of one eyebrow more than any of today's Stars!!! He had more to offer, he had more to give and nobody wanted that, they wanted Bodie! A sadly missed opportunity for a sadly missed actor!!! R.I.P You legend!!!

I never missed an episode of the Professionals when it first aired. Didn’t always follow the plots as a teen, but I loved the fast paced action, the theme tune, the cars, and of course Bodie and Doyle. Nothing like it today, just American csi shite, and things like “Vera”. Christ. Bring back the 70’s.

@@daveandbear6676 It doesn't matter what the time is unless caught napping. Got a hyper bunny that doesn't know what nap time is. He hates bedtime!! Enjoy your walk with the dog. Bodie Definitely symbol of the 80's. I remember a few shows from this era that still found of. Did you see Lewis in Robin of Sherwood? He camped it up a bit playing the replacement sheriff and kicked the sheriff of Nottingham out! Jason Connery played Robin in season three. Three seasons of magic, paganism, and nostalgia. How the Hell he was no chosen for James Bond over Timothy Daulton is beyond me.He spent most of his previous career auditioning for it.In the Professionals he wore all the Bond clothes; Safari jackets and flares .He should have got it in my opinion
@spaceodds19855 жыл бұрын
ian powell Actually he auditioned for the role in 1982 when Moore was indecisive about returning. Broccoli found him too aggressive and cocky so he wasn't given the nod. Also when Moore finally retired, Pierce Brosnan was chosen for the role, but had to bow out due to Remington Steele, and then Dalton was chosen. Dalton is my favourite Bond to date, but it is a major shame that Collins didn't get a chance. He was the best actor who never was James Bond.
