Even before 2021 I remember Leclerc cut the corner under pressure from Lewis in Imola 2019, he gained a huge advantage of staying ahead and winning the race and got away with it, but when he did the same thing with Perez in Suzuka 2022 he got the penalty! Lewis worked out how to combat that dive bombing crap in 2021, he attempted to turn in to the corner, then at the last moment when Verstappen came charging through had to turn away to avoid contact, doing that made verstappen look wreckless, reason why Verstappen was getting the penalties, very smart, if you do a Norris and overtake off track, the stewards will use that as an excuse to let Verstappen off

Did you watch that season? Because Max got a single penalty in Jeddah, otherwise what you're saying is complete fiction. He didn't get penalized in Brazil where it was easily at it's worst. Considering Abu Dhabi was the last race and he was still getting waxed by divebombs, running off the track and gaining a 3 second advantage from that. I don't think he ever figured it out LOL

??? The same exact thing happened to Russel and he brought the car from a pit-lane start to a P6 finish... why do your standards work differently for Hamilton? His entire job is to get on top of the car's balance and drive it to it's limit, no matter how difficult the performance window of the car is. He made a driver error and ended up in the gravel trap, it's as simple as that. We don't make these kind of excuses towards any other team/driver pairing, why do we do it for Hamilton at Merc? It's pretty clear it was the car this time. Even Toto said it was the car, and he's not exactly been glowing about Lewis this season. So unless you think the same thing that happened to both drivers is sheer coincidence, then I don't know what to tell you.

... The penalties do apply to Max. He has been punished multiple times for aggressive driving. There is a clear issue with the, "ahead at the apex" rule because it basically makes you invulnerable as long as you don't make contact in the corner. Max is following the rules and pushing the limits of the sport, as everyone should. Why do we have to put a bias on it like all the drivers don't do it?

If he stopped trying out of pettiness they would replace him with Mick, or Kimi because I'm sure that would be violation of what he signed on for.

Currently, Hamilton only formulated an opinion. If what Verstappen did is within the rules, then you cannot blame him for using the rules to the fullest. If the rules have to be changed, then that still doesn't change the situation that we had in Austin. McLaren can protest, but if it is within the rules they have no ground to stand on. And Verstappen is not bullying... He is just using the rules to their limits. That is what Norris misses. Norris is a very good driver, but not a great driver as he is not going to the limits. That is what all great drivers did, like Senna, Vettel, Schumacher, Hamilton and so on...

Ever heard the phrase, "Don't hate the player, hate the game?" -- The stewards aren't doing their job, plain and simple. Max found a loophole in the rules that everyone is free to use. Why people are specifically mad at him is beyond me. It's not "unsportsman-like" when it's within the rules. As long as you are ahead at the apex, you are basically invulnerable to a penalty as long as no one makes contact. That isn't Max's fault, it's the FIA's for not being able to define rules properly. It's like ya'll have never been in a sports/competitive environment before. The teams are bending and stretching rules every day to gain an advantage, it's not only RB and MAX, put your bias away.

All these rules have been carrified after 2021. There is No point of changing rules, if you change the rules, Max will still adapt to rules. Max has the ability to drive on the edge of the rulebook. Just rewatch the battle at the usgp. You will see max is the one who determines where Lando goes.

The rules are bizarre and make no sense to the casual watcher, if you force another driver off the track you should lose all your rights to the rule book unless the opponent is in the gravel trap due to being left insufficient space. Should this happen you as the cause should be disqualified, simple. This dive bombing is ridiculous any rational person can see it yet the FIA have sat on their hands for years and not outlawed it. Max is a fantastic driver and if the rules clearly outlawed it he would not do it. Personally I think the rules do outlaw it.

Verstappen is an awesome driver but for me a ‘great’ is someone who’s desire to win does not cannibalise their desire to win fairly. If there had been a brick wall on the outside of that turn then Norris makes the pass or both of them have a huge crash. Verstappen should not take advantage of a runoff on the outside and the rules should not permit it more importantly.

Also while we're at it how about not driving super slow around the track when your lead car after a restart. Lewis has every right to attempt an overtake where he did at Silverstone. Was it risky …. Sure, was it illegal No. Both drivers could have got around that corner, Lewis did and within track limits, so why did Max not when he had at least double the space to get around safely? We all know why he tried to force Lewis to back off and when he did not (as was his right), he turned in and hit Lewis. Video and telemetry data shows this conclusively l.
