That's very true, it will certainly help the team in development of the 25 and 26 cars. A big problem was Carlos and Leclerc had quite a different style when driving, which would quite often see leclerc take a few races to get on top of things after a major upgrade.

How often have we seen that the data says X but the drivers hate how the car feels so , actually drive slower. I mean Merc said their data said the cars would work and Lewis said No that won't . It would make sense for Brembo to simply supply Carbon disks to Ferrari themselves, but overall, the data will be seen in Pre-season testing. If Lewis's brakes are proven to be more heat resistant and have longer durability during the tests, it is a no brainer.

Yes, Brembo supply the entire grid with just about 90% of the brake system that they use I believe. The only part that are generally changeable would be the brake disks. As for the Ferrari power unit, I've not heard or read anything regarding their new engine (if your talking 2026). But it would of been one of the key factors I would guess in Lewis joining them with the reg change just a year away pretty much now.

Nice insight mate! Things like that aren't talked about enough, and things like that make a huge difference between how the driver drives a particular car. The steering wheel layout is another huge thing too like you said, because Lewis isn't young anymore, so it would take him longer to learn than he used to, it's just a fact in getting older. Plus he's been used to that configuration for longer than Charles has been in F1, so it's a small thing that is actually huge. This was my first time watching your channel, but I subscribed, liked 👍, and loved it. I look forward to the next one.

The thing is, this is nothing new. Team mates have had different brakes for decades. Prost and Senna had different parts to each other. Its just the press making it out to be something new as its not generally something talked about. It will be the press doing what it does best and starting trouble amongst the fans. They know as soon as the Hamilton haters hear about it, they will jump on it. Its not news when it's already known that drivers chop and change. I've known drivers to change their brakes depending on different tracks. A driver has to have the right feel. Bad feeling brakes can cost several tenths a lap, even up to a second, a lap.

I am a Hamilton fan but i have my doubts. If Hamilton is within 2tenths of Leclerc I'll say for the first six months they're just about even. Anything more and it's domination by either driver.

I think Charles will have the edge in qualifying, which makes it easier for the team in terms of strategy. But Lewis no doubt will be strong on sundays, just as with Russell but imagine lewis starting higher up the grid on average
