Tucker received his mandatory with wins over McCall & Norris, had lost just one fight & never tasted the canvas, yet despite Lewis decking him twice & winning a unanimous decision, he received no credit whatsoever for this victory. It shows more about a fighter having to grit out a win, as opposed to knocking out a cotton wool opponent inside a round & the odd criticism aside, this was a good victory for Lewis.

@@Ehrle6969 From Boxrec fight report in his interview, "My right hand was broken when I fought him. I knew Tyson couldn’t beat me ..." He fought Tyson on 1987-08-01 and took two years to (I reckon) heal his broken hand. His next fight was on 1989-12-12 and went on unbeaten for 14 fights including the win against Oliver McCall. This Tucker version is definitely not his peak but not too far from the peak imo as there is tradeoff between power and experience. As for the Tyson's what-ifs, I don't have any opinion because it is gonna be an endless debate. But I am quite sure that Lewis will never fear him and that is the most decisive factor in fighting peak Tyson.

@peterhaye8537 lewis was 27 years old here and he must be at his best physical shape at this age. On the other hand tucker is 34 years old in a very bad shape, he is heavy and very slow compared to when he fought mike tyson back in 1987. The last few rounds tucker won in this fight shows that he could have done this in earlier rounds if he was younger. So this is not the tucker that fought buster douglas or mike tyson.

Riddick bowe dominated holyfield and beat him into a pulp. Lenox Lewis could not do that to evander when he was older and not as good!! Clearly ridicule would have pushed Lennox Lewis backwards he's an amazing inside fighter and he would have ended up knocking out Lennox Lewis with his suspect chin.. showing a couple times against Oliver mccall, rockman who both knocked out Lennox Lewis with one punch!! IF THEY COULD DO IT RIDDICK BOWE WOULD HAVE DONE IT EASILY!!

@@muzikmon2267 i remembered well the 90s heavyweight, the best decade with the 70s. Come on, John Ruiz? What would he have done To Lennox? 🤣🤣😂😂 Lennox Lewis didn't duke Ruiz, that's a Don King story man, he fought against Michael Grant who was more dangerous and the boxer in which the American people believe at that time. Rahman and McCall (when focused) had good punch and were better than Ruiz. Lennox Lewis fought Morrison, Briggs, Golota, Tyson, Ruddock, Tucker, Holyfield and the most dangerous fighter at that time: David Tua, beat them all and you think he would duke one of the worst heavyweight champion of all time? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂 Must have been a brutal KO. John Ruiz...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You made my day...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@muzikmon2267 For the Bowe/Lewis fight. If that didn't happen, it was not Riddick Bowe or Lennox Lewis fault. It was only Rock Newman fault (Riddick Bowe manager) who wanted to make a lot of money with Bowe fighting average fighter when he was the champ and didn't want Lennox Lewis who was a very riscky fight. It's difficult to know which was the best of the 2. They were nearly on the same level and it could go either way. I have the feeling that Riddick Bowe would have won because he was a bit more skillful and took the punch better but Lennox Lewis was very intelligent and hit harder. Riddick Bowe was very good outside and inside fighter. Lennox Lewis was very good outside fighter and very underrated inside fighter. Just look at his fight against Ray Mercer and Shannon Briggs
