Just when you finally find a good channel, you realize it's new and only has five videos...

Ok so I’m watching your videos and they are amazing and you need to keep making stuff just like this! Your channel with get huge!! Unfortunately.. with content like this, KZbin won’t push your content if the video isn’t like 10 minutes long. Your videos just need to be longer and you’ll get 100,000+ on each video cause this is gold. Trust me… make longer videos and the KZbin algorithm will like you.

I strongly believe that this is one of the greatest channels out there for filmmakers who work solo or have a mega limited crew. So absurdly well done.

In response to the 10 min comment, I get it, but I much prefer a shorter video as I can use it as a quick refresher when working on a project. It's the perfect length for what your creative vision for the topic was, not dragged on so more people can see it. imo

i wouldnt have clicked on this video if it was more than 3 mins

Agree--90% of the time a 10 minute video is just a 2 minute video with 8 minutes of fluff.

This is a great tip. David Mullen ASC used to write about using this trick a lot. Much faster and easier to rig a piece of poly or muslin into the ceiling than a light.
@sonny3384 Жыл бұрын
Building on this same idea, on set i like to use a classic tungsten 750w Leko, with a dimmer on it, the same way you used here. For interiors, you can dim it down almost all the way and get a really nice warm quality of light

These vids are great, short, simple, and very helpful. Make more! I love the “one light” videos and the what makes a “ cinematic” image. Maybe make a video about “cheap” gear or maybe a DIY light video if you use that kind of gear, or maybe a “lighting for zero-low budget”

this works best in the most dreaded, most common location we get thrown into all the time: the not-so-huge, white-walled room. your setup is great for that, first: you automatically dim the walls that are in the shot down, second: you get out of that boring place quicker. nice one.
