Honestly holding the phone in hand it feels absolutely amazing. The thickness of it is honestly a refresher and it's very easy to hold on to the screen feels absolutely amazing. The camera is godly and way better than any camera that I've used and I work for a cell phone provider and have access to all top models. I would honestly say the only complaint is it does not have a wide angle lens. The telephoto is absolute amazing though.

There is a setting in the face unlock section to not skip the lockscreen. Settings > security > face unlock > disable skip lock screen

I currently have a smart phone, laptop and iPad Pro (9.7”). I used the iPad Pro exclusively for almost two years. To be honest, I can do 95% of what I want do on it. However, I have spent more on apps than I did purchasing the iPad in the first place (theoretically I won’t have to splash out on more apps when I buy a new iPad). I love that it’s silent, and that I can use any keyboard I want with it. However, for no fuss productivity a PC or Mac takes some beating. The advantage an iPad has in terms of productivity is that you are usually looking at a single app and thus it’s much easier to focus. It’s possible to get easily distracted with the multitude of things you can do simultaneously on a PC or Mac.

Because they implemented both of these choices wrong. That notch was uglier than iPhone and that bezel is just too old now. And when they implemented the notch, they did not have any Revolutionary technology in it to justify they size of notch(unlike apple).

Lew, the agreement to open the freq band isn't usually in relation to safety, it's because something else is using that band. In India, there may be government use, therefore the reason it can't be used commercially as stated in what you read.

60Ghz mmWave is used in new 5G standards, as well as 802.11ad WiFi. India is expected to approve use of the same frequency block - but they are a bit behind other regions to approve updated rules. Its possible that pixel will launch there at a later date, or with the radar chip disabled.

What I always loved about Pixels is that, I personally prefer the small one, and they're including the same specs in the big one and the small one. So you can really choose your form factor. Because with Samsung and Apple, you have the choice of the phone's size, but like do you ? Because the specs aren't the same at all. Love google phones

It's funny because I just went shopping for a tablet-esque device and I fell into this weird space of trying to decipher what I was really looking for. I have a phone, I have a laptop but was intrigued by the tab s6. I realized what I was after was not a PC but a tablet despite constantly getting side tracked on equally priced products that essentially did more as laptops/convertibles. However, like you said laptops are so light I was left wondering do I really need this? I ended up buying one under the understanding that it was a fun tech purchase and leaving me wondering what market this product was really for.

My setup (about to change this year): Very powerful PC for high-end gaming, 12" Macbook for on the couch youtube/reddit/whatever, OnePlus 7 Pro for chatting, email, mobile gaming and once in a blue moon calling that one company that doesn't do support over email. I tried gaming laptops, they're too bulky for the lap action on the couch, and they're still not as powerful (or cheap) as my PC tower. So I've given up and will stick with my 3 devices.

for the taycan s and the tesla, the wetness of the track is kinda unfortunate for the video. hopefully they have the same tires on the vehicles, because what makes a car go fast/er is going to be weight:power ratio, and traction. if the taycan s has all season tires on it and the tesla has summer tires, the taycan will have an advantage with putting the power down, more so in wet conditions. both have traction control, so if one is spinning a little because of the water it will cut power to gain traction, this could even be because of the side of the track each car was on during the time.. would just be better if they just did it on a dry track. conspiracy says they planned it to hide somethin, but most likely thats the only time they had both cars and the spot on the runway.

I really don't get what google was going for this year. They put a 90hz screen which will kill the battery faster then normal then puts a smaller battery then last year so the phones gonna die so fast if you use one of the big features for the new phone.

Regarding the laptop - iPad user usage situation , for me personally i go to the iPad pro it’s pretty doing the job and more , which my usage between the laptop and the iPad like, 87% for the iPad and only 13% on my laptop as I get my daily average, which make the iPad is my on the go device from my day to day tasks , make it more easier and convenient work done at least for me

Been using the iPad Pro 12.9 for 3yr as my only device. I’m an full time designer & can assure the iPad Pro is “almost” the perfect device for creatives, I’ve never felt like reaching for Mac or a PC unless I want to do heavy 3D rendering. Everything else works faster & better for me on the iPad. Maybe if the iPadOS could support some of the macOS desktop softwares, it would make a huge difference

Ive been laptop and smartphone for years. I have tried tablets and always end up selling them months later from lack of use. Just changed to Surface book2 to see if go tablet mode every now and again when I'm on the road it will be my digital note pad when visiting clients

Yep. The tiny bezel fetish (among the tech access media anyway) resulted in a lot of usability side effects. Full screen is cool looking until you actually have to handle the phone. But it did give us the notch! 😨 I don't mind some bezel, esp if they use the space to improve audio or add features. We put frames on our artwork before we hang it after all, to improve its visual presentation on a wall.

The iPhone has pretty good measures against accidental touches. I don’t like curved screens but the iphones way of doing it seems kinda good (except the notch)

13:00 Probably in the minority but I use a tablet rather than a laptop. I use an iPad for basic university notetaking/web browsing and social media/youtube consumption, and anything I cant do on that I use my desktop. Also have a smartphone that’s used more for communication/messaging purposes but do play the occasional game on it too 😁

My setup is smartphone and laptop. I'm a front-end developer so a laptop is way more practical for my everyday use. I've tried working with an iPad, but it's definitely not ready. Surprisingly a Chromebook would be just right for me with the way ChromeOS works well with Linux. However, I use a Macbook Pro. I LOATHE the keyboard, but it get's the job done.

I use my phone primarily. I use my Chromebook when I need a keyboard or do more complicated task that is cumbersome to do on a phone. I mainly watch KZbin on my phone on the go, but will use my Chromebook when I want to to just chill and watch videos or TV. I had a tablet but never used it, really only for ebooks, and I use my phone for that now

Here is a wish. I wish the Pixelbook Go could run a hackintosh as dual boot. Or natively run windows apps with a emulation using full resources from the system. I just wanna be able to access my editing apps and Transmit 5.

Everyone keeps saying it’s just used for gestures but it can be used for so much more and is used for face unlock to make it faster just that alone makes it worth it to me because the iPhone takes a while still to unlock with Face ID I my opinion.
