43:00 I think you are incredibly too hard on yourself when it comes to all this failure nonsense your podcast is incredibly successful in retrospect there are a lot of podcasts out there with very little views very little subscribers. I wonder if this comes from your father he's sort of has this overbearing high expectation kind of vibe and sometimes that produces a child especially a son that doesn't think he's ever good enough, anyway much love...

@mardyross5148

Nancy, I'm 60 and learned of Lex on Joe Rogan. Since I do my audio learning and entertainment amidst sleep (which is only 6 hours typically), I now listen to more of Lex's because they are better for filling the time I'm awake or between. DMT is the new frontier in mental health and is psychedelics. I had the good fortune 40 years ago to have a lot of influencers that changed my life. The alcoholic in the dorm the first days of university lead to fun and games and a lifestyle I'd not have had. Since I then uses alcohol my boyfriend, who was into pot (and became a computer scientist and was very successful) talked me into joining him with that and then one thing lead to another as his dealer guy had things to peddle. Which eventually lead to things I didn't like the risks of but we both had profound time travel predictive dreams after psilocybin mushrooms. It evolved for me from there and I enjoy an intuitive or esoteric realm I now think stems from maybe 1 of the 2 recreational uses. Until the DMT info where I became aware of it and the new psychelic focus, I really didn't put the two together. So now I'm very interest picqued.

What amazes me about this man, is how dynamic he seems to be. He's clearly very smart/educated when it comes to computer science. But at the same time, he's able to have really deep and reflective discussions like these. A lot of people are very well educated and capable of great things in their field, but lack the wisdom and capabilities of deep emotional reflection.

Lex you are easily my favorite person alive beyond my friends and family. You are such an inspiration. You have awesome insight into emotions and what it means to be human. Maybe you are a replicant trying to find what it means to be human :) You're humble, kind yet strong and mentally agile. You have a real positive outlook for the future potential of the human race which is rare in such dark times we have been experiencing recently. Keep it up bro. Peace from Australia.

@Lex Fridman - Your answer to how to hold onto hope actually made me cry. When I think deeply about the current social climate and my experiences within it cuts me on such a visceral level. I wrestle with how to ignore "the noise" without becoming complacent in it. I've been derided for trying to promote peace through nuance and understanding - through really taking to heart what it means to understand vs. condone. When I hear you talk about this it makes me feel so much less alone in that pursuit. It makes the times people walked out on me for clinging to my integrity a little less of a stab to the heart. On another note: You're really hard on yourself about being a poor speaker, Lex. There's always room for improvement, but you are so much better than you give yourself credit for. I struggle with being too self-deprecating at times. It feels like treading at the edges of whirlpool... it's so easy to get sucked in (I can't even imagine how difficult it is having a platform like you on top of it). Regardless of that voice in the back of your mind I hope you're able to seize quiet moments to reflect, congratulate yourself in your progress, and always keep your head above the water when things get wavy.

Most people think Lex came to the USA from Russia at the age of 13. If you know the story and feel safe in believing it , God love you. If you watch enough of his QandAs you’ll come to realize Lexi was dropped here w a mission to pave the way for other intelligent beings amongst us. They have been here for decades and only now are comfortable with their most social members interacting with us. Since 2019 Lex has been the most successful communicating with us , preparing the ground for their announcing themselves. They are mostly malevolent, some like Lexi have grown to love humans for all our warts and flaws. He’s a true treasure. Stick close to him during the transition. Don’t overreact . You will be safe PEACE

Recently found your podcast, and been listening to it on Spotify, as well as here. Just gotta say, for someone plagued by my thoughts, what you do - here - helps my tight walk between genius and insanity, giving me the benefit of the doubt I am worthy of such a title. Thanks Lex, whether I really am as smart as I think I am, or just crazy, thanks for giving me something to listen to.
