I would not, largely as I view traveling there supporting the regime. The money you would pay for this trip contributes directly or indirectly to funding their government. As someone whose family left the Soviet Union due to persecution, money and fear/intent through ideology are what keeps regimes like these alive.

Lexie Limitless Dude this is honestly the thing that I appreciate the most about you. Coming from New York and spending last seven years in the Midwest, I don't always understand how people date so young to get married and such so young. Although you're very young, you have such crazy amazing experience being alone and putting yourself in difficult situations. It's cool to see that you were in a truly happy relationship, but this is after finding how to actually be alone. I truly admire you! Stoked for this channel!!!

She walked across a room that is inside the DMZ, it’s a 2 kilometre wide no mans land separating the two countries, it’s neither in North or South Korea, as such she did NOT enter North Korea.

Hi Lexie, there's actually a second way to get into North Korea. I'm Canadian and I was able to (via satellite) cross into North Korea as I was travelling along the Chinese/North Korean Border. I also legally stepped foot into North Korea a top of 长白山 (known as Paekdusan to Koreans) as I got to the top of the mountain that gets cut down the middle by the North Korean/Chinese border. Paekdusan is a 'sacred' and revered place to all Korean people and North Koreans say their Eternal Leader Kim Jong Il was born from the 'heavenly lake' that sits atop the mountain. It's a place of extreme historical and cultural importance to both North Koreans and South Koreans, and it is accessible to Westerners.

or perhaps some people just dont think travelling to every country is an achievement or something to be proud of...especially considering she hasn't even visited North Korea. To esperiance a culture you need to spend some time in that country, the best way to do it is slow travelling. That's not what she did. The purpose of travelling should not be winning a guiness world record. Thats a very shallow goal.

Vivien Schmiedel no it obviously doesn’t, an American soldier signing a piece of paper so another American can say “I’ve been to North Korea” does NOT count! You would need a document signed by a North Korean to prove you have actually been there! I would know because I’ve actually been into North Korea! I visited the capital Pyongyang, not walked to another side of the room like this fraud and claimed I’d gone there!

@@harbinkiwi Don't be so negative! Obviously she wanted to travel to North Korea 'properly' but couldn't due to her citizenship. So she found another way to enter the country which was accepted by Guinness World Records (and if you watched some of her other videos, you'd know how picky they are). I guess she will want to visit North Korea when US-Americans will be allowed again to do so. Also, it's not her fault that Americans are stationed there and an American soldier signed that document.

Congratulations Lexie! I think you did an amazing job here as you were not only thinking of yourself breaking the record but thinking of the moral standard too when entering NK although the five minutes weren't the way you wanted to go about it. I believe we are the same age & seeing what one can achieve at a young age is inspiring & as a future history teacher who is at university your story will definitely be something I tell my students

It's crazy how powerful passports can be and how much opportunities they entail. I didn't really thought about it and took that for granted. When I started traveling myself I came in contact with people from many different countries and had to realise how lucky I am to be able to travel across borders quite effortless. It was sad so see how limited others were only because they were born in another country. I really admire how you despite the odds finally were able to pull it off and enter North Korea. Maybe one day there will be a chance for you to pay North Korea a proper visit. It's been quite isolated, so traveling there and meeting residents could be very intriguing, I think.
