Love the bluff. It made sense in theory. Surprised he didn't raise the turn on a draw-heavy board. On a side note, it's nice not to see you break down every single hand and give the same verbage over and over like some poker vloggers. You have just the right tough without becoming redundant. @zag7steve3 жыл бұрын
I totally disagree. Lex's logic "made sense" in that it is one path of how we could have gotten here but you have to think of all the paths and weight them. The river 3-bet bluff was 1300 to win 600ish so it has to be correct a whopping 68% of the time to be the right move. The assumption that the villain was rebluffing is clearly less than 68% of the paths that get him here, because it is so rare for a recreational player to raise-bluff on the river like that. I see a big hand that was slow-played as being more likely. Save your assumption that someone is rebluffing for times that you have a decent bluff catcher, so you only have to call rather than jam to apply your theory.
@stevemurphy32983 жыл бұрын
Having watched one of your videos for the 1st time, it's pretty clear you are playing outside your level. It seems like a non stop clinic of how to play every single premium badly. Great folds. They can’t exploit you when they don’t know what you are folding. Not many players think on the level that you do. I love the the fact that you dump them big hands bc they have bigger hands so many times. Great video as always!

Lex I have to ask... I get occasional rebluffing but that was a very small pot of $180 after the turn and you led $100 after the river. Now when he raises to $400...people typically make a play like that as a bluff if the pot is much higher no? Strange spot for them to make a move that's all.

Tough session... I too am trying to improve my river folds... There is a lot of chips one could still have in their stack at the end of the night adopting some good folds right? I empathise with you, it's pretty difficult "the not knowing" but I guess we have to trust our reads ... folding the AA was certainly the right move. I would be AMAZED to learn otherwise. Strange how the other two players folded the turn after calling such a big flop bet though.

Love your vlog Lex, but man I didn't like the way you played those 1st 2 hands. You have to jam or raise to commit yourself with KK on the turn and let the chips fall where they may. Maybe even run twice if he wants after a jam. And you have to keep piling money in with J9cc on that turn card. Missed a ton of value with villain having 2 pair. Just my .02 cents. Keep up the good work!

On the K9 hand where your opponent had flopped the set with 5's you had 2 outs on the turn. You weren't drawing dead, but I think it's important to realize in game if your opponent raises you, what are your outs that are actually clean when they continue barrelling off.
