I definitely get the struggle of getting items you want, so happy for Wardell's catalogue service because not only can you order any item you unlock in HHP, but you can choose the variation/colour you want too and it's been such a godsend blessing for me lol

Totally agree with the issue with item acquisition! I recently restarted my island because I was getting motivated to do anything more with my current island so thought maybe a now layout of the river ends and resident services can give me a new challenge 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I hate now I have no items and diy recipes 😩. Silver lining I am playing more again because I am working to collect stuff and get bells to buy everything again lol

Item collection is always the worst when you start a new island! And building up your DIYs too! Luckily I have two Switches so I ferry items from my main island when I make a new one. But its soo tedious! Also music appreciation post. The New Leaf music was great ❤️

Although i'm artistic these days I've been having a hard time visualizing how i want things to look like both in real life and in creative video games. I have the plan and the ideas but imagining what items to use in the build is muddy. Because of it so far my favorite thing to do in animal crossing right now is code shopping. Ive been finding perfect codes for what i want and once i have them everything else comes easier. How i do it is type a criteria word in the code searches (i don't know the actual name for it it's the thing that we used to only be able to do in able sisters), i collect those codes and type more words that have to do with the codes in mind that i want, then i try them out and if they don't work then my second plan is to look up codes on pinterest, save the pictures and go through them later to add to my custom codes, and if i really like an artist's codes i then write down their MA so i can sometimes go back to their stuff to see if i want their other things for future use. I also write down my criteria words too because Some words will give you codes that you wouldn't expect to be in their category, like 'Tiles' giving you tiles and also roof tiles, and shingles, and 'Brick' will give you both floor and wall bricks, but they also give you windowed brick walls, and 'Walls' will give you any kind of wall but also windows, and different textures you can use for paths.

Once you pick them up, if you hover over them in your inventory you can “investigate”!! I think it’s always been like that but honestly idk
