Thanks for making this video. I've been holding off on buying a new clock for over 5 years hoping for something like this. I soldered the main pins and that seemed to do the trick. Clock is back running. It's a few minutes late after so long but a quick adjustment will fix that. Cheers!

On crusty TH connections I usually remove as much of the old solder as possible, then use fresh solder to make whole new joints.

Definitely the best way. It is a 2014 unit, surely it'll go 11 years now with a premium blend :)
