You can pull the exhaust header from the upper side too, but takes a bit of wiggling. Can't even imagine getting the transmission in alone with only the jack. I did it with a friend and even then it was a pain. Keep the good videos coming 🙂

Yea build some wheel cribs from 2x4 to raise it 18” to 24” and it will be easier. When I did RMS on the auto, it was on four jack stands at highest level but still low.

Awesome details and knowledge the best swap tutorial on YT! What color was your car originally? Also did you repair your valve cover gasket leak it looks pretty oily. I have two manual TCM Sport Designs ‘03 and ‘04 but they feel slightly different because of the way the previous owners drove them and the miles on them. Anyways, you’re going to have a completely different IS soon! 🕹🤗

The car was IBP before be one of the owners changed it tie GGP. When I got the car in 2020 it was an oily mess. Check my earlier videos for all those repairs. I replaced everything and cleaned up all the oil under the car. It’s pretty spotless now with some seapage but nothing dripping.

On the MaxJax? I have the 2.5 inch on the 5.5 inch. It gave me more room to work. But still not standing room. But my limit is the ceiling height of 9’-10”.

Is the R15* transmission too large for the channel?
@TunerwithKids Жыл бұрын
R154 fits fine but some of the other trans options (CD00x, T56, V160) require beating the edge of the tunnel to fit.

@@TunerwithKids thanks, seeing yours in the tunnel looked like there was some room. I may someday swap my GS to manual. Thanks for the cool video.
