One of or if not the most underrated full size luxury sedan in the world

I’ve reviewed and driven the LS500 previous gen, even the S Class and new 740Li and the LS is definitely the most underrated on the road!

A stunning vehicle in person. I love the fact that there aren't many on the road. Understated luxury.

Totally agree! I’ve driven and reviewed the previous gen and had it for months and people didn’t even realise what it was! I’ve also driven the S Class and new 740Li and even though they have a much bigger presence on the road and instantly recognisable, they’re just not as refined I’ve found especially for our Aussie roads! Definitely preferred driving the LS with massage seats (standard in Sports Luxury in Aus).

Yup, even with my IS compared to BMW 3 and Audi 4 series. I hardly come across a similar car like mine in a small inland city in Australia.

Mate totally agree! And with all the standard luxury equipment on the Sports Luxury model, it almost seems underpriced compared to its European competitors! I’ve actually reviewed it against the 740Li and have to say was rather unimpressed with the overall BMW. Feel free to check it out 😄

I’ve reviewed and driven the previous gen LS500 Sport Luxury for a few months and absolutely loved it! It was just the most underrated car on the road. I’ve also driven and reviewed the S Class and new 740Li and neither compared to the LS in terms of luxury and sublime driving experience! Great to see this video, really wish you had the Sports Luxury, it’s so much more worth it compared for only a $5-10k price difference!

Many years from now, when the A8, S Class and 7 series have cost their owners a fortune in repairs, the Lexus will be silently motoring on, without a complaint, much like anyone who owns one. The secret is not to buy one new. Let someone else take a 50 percent haircut in the first two years, then swoop in for the kill!

Great review mate, interested in what you think of the Mark Levinson sound system?
@chasingcars3 жыл бұрын
It's a good system - easy to listen to. I felt that it required a bit more 'getting used to' than most Lexus-Mark Levinson systems; that is, I needed an hour or so of listening for my ears to adjust to the frequencies of the system, but once that happened, it sounded great.

No-one buys these in the UK. The exterior styling doesn't scream "luxury" after the B-pillar. Lexus could really do with something like a Range Rover if they want to sell high end luxury. Mercedes still sell quite a few S-class mainly for the airport run. A8's and 7 Series hardly get a look in at Heathrow.

@@craigpodsprojames2500 : The outside looks can give Germans a run for their money. Still The best looking car in its segment.
@craigpodsprojames25003 жыл бұрын
Agreed, the inside is luxury in the way that a older Cadillac would have been considered luxury. But, yes the outside looks WAY better than the Mercedes s class, and that thing, in turn looks a lot better than the BMW 7 series
@LuvvSURYA3 жыл бұрын
@@craigpodsprojames2500 : Yes, have to agree with that. The inside is really an old-fashioned luxury. They say that it's the S-Class that is quintessentially meant for the older generations but I think the clock has turned around and the interior of the new S-Class appears more like to appeal when we grow old (like S-Class old) while the LS is still meant to appeal to the current older generations. But the outside of LS undeniably beats S-Class and certainly the 7 series by a fair margin. I'm not even gonna look at Audi. I haven't seen LS in person but given I'm so enchanted with the looks of the car in the picture, I might faint if I see it in person. Lol

Rumour has it that the current LS will be the last Lexus 'flagship' that is a sedan. So sad. And I agree with the cookie cutter comment of the interior. That is what I hate most with the beemers. They are all just so boring. See one, seen them all.
