Sounds amazing! I did the same thing on my much older 91 LS400, exact same result, great "refined" growl! If you want more engine noise you could get a cold air intake, that really opened up the sound of my 4.0 1uz-fe! Love the car, looking to get a LS460 soon

Yes that's what I was thinking replace the mufflers with universal ones. I looked up Greddy and Flowmaster. The magna flows are direct fit but I don't know if I want to go that route.

There are filters going down the pipe. You can remove the catalytic converters and run straight pipes but if you leave any piece of the pipes after the catalytic converters to the muffler there are filters like two on each side or two in each pipe before the muffler if you don't remove all that you're not running straight pipes that's why I wasn't loud as you thought it was going to be
