Hey mate, you can open the trunk manually! Double-tap the soft rubber button above the license plate and it will allow you to manually open it :)

Also with the remote control if you press the open trunk twice, it will stay free to move with your hands.

I took advantage of the Lexus interior panel replacement under warranty. The interior of my 2007 LS460L is perfect. I also added the Vline2 for current technology.

@@mig0s Yeah, it ended back in march of 2022. I bought a 2008 lexus ES350 on April 3rd of 2022 and thought they'd replace my interior through the ZLZ warranty. NOPE, they wouldn't budge after it ended.

The interior problem is the only legitimate gripe. I didn't know Lexus had that problem in those years. I have a 2002 LS430 and the interior is great. Lexus obviously made a change with redesign and made it worst.

I agree with much of what you say. There are a few of my '07 "hates": Unlike other manufacturers, if one TPMS sensor goes bad the entire TPMS system shuts down and will not report ANY pressures. Also, if one bumper sensor goes bad ALL the sensors are disabled shutting down the whole system. As for the trunk delay, that doesn't bother me, What does bother me is if the motorized latch in the center goes bad (mine did) the repair is so convoluted it cost over $800 to fix. As for you, my good Tommyboy, you need to grow up a little. Harassing deer with your exhaust is childish as is flooring the throttle repeatedly and redlining the engine at 130mph...you are a menace.

08 LS460 owner of 18 months with 121k miles now: 1 & 2) I have a non-navigation system car, so I don't have the issues with the non-physical buttons or navigation. 3) My dash has never looked like that, but it does reflect in the windshield. My door panels look great too. Btw, I have a salvaged title, so I wasn't eligible for the ZLZ warranty replacement. 4) There is a keyhole for the trunk... but that's really a PITA. Just practice patience. It's a luxury car so be more leisurely with it. 5) My transmission... needs a service. When I'm in normal transmission mode, it seems to over-rev. When I'm in Power mode, it works fine. I don't know why, but it seems to be normal for Lexus.

08, Ls600 owner, the trunk issue is you know it's 'best door ever" status and just open it early as you walk up to the car from 100 yards away if you want. Thanks for the video.

I have the 460 se-L full option with lane keep assist, heated cooled seats rear entertainment everh option available and clocked in at 200k miles. Everything works including the self parking. Ive owned the ls430 and i think this is a worthy sucsessor of not a better car for my personal taste a bit more modern better handling.

Bro you need Fsport its an LS with big balls...but not an off the lot sports sedan. It will suprising walk many cars on the freeway...mostly mid-top end power and speed. It shifts perfectly if you jump on it while in auto-pwr mode. Thats if it's been taken care of. After my LS 460 gets to 300k or more I'm buying another one no bs lol

My only gripes with mine are: The melty dash the previous owner didn't replace under warranty The heating smells like melty plastic sometimes A weird instrument cluster that, as far as I can tell, isn't in any other LS460 The radio doesn't stay on when you turn the key off until you open your door (my old Audi did) The rear defrost is INCREDIBLY weak The valet button for the trunk likes to self-lock The brake by wire is a little finnicky in places like a drive thru, it's hard to get that low speed smooth use In all honesty this is cherrypicking, there's a LOT that I like about this car, else I wouldn't have bought it :)

I see you have the same lights as I do on the dash! Would really appreciate any insight on what you found to be the problem? VSC and engine light. My solenoids get stuck when car runs for 30mins so thinking of changing transmission fluid before going the changing transmission route. Maybe I’m missing something simple?

i have the 06 LS460 and the boot will open with the key but its not automatic which is better in my opinion, the boot still has the soft close feature like all the doors have, also i have the base version with no heated seats but has heated steering wheel, and air suspension

Depends on the dealer. Mine said deadline has passed. Lexus found a way to avoid alot of complaints with this. Best solution get tinted windows/ front sun visor asap. If possible dont park directly in the sun on very hot days for excessive hours.

My "budget" lexus IS220d from 2008 (not available in the US) also has navigation and reversing camera. Ive heard that the sticky dash had a recall and Lexus would replace the entire dash for free but a lot of LS owner did not get it completed...

You might want to spend the money and get the trans fluid replaced and the filter while you’re at it. 140k is quite a long time to be asking your trans to perform flawlessly . I’m sure the previous owners just drove it around town mostly. Low miles for a now 16 yo car. So prob just short trips mostly. Not good on trans fluid and trans life. Sealed trans doesn’t mean lifetime performance. Replaced my fluid at 54k miles. Just the fluid not the filter. An exchange might be just as good. And use more fluid to flush all the old out. Especially with you jerking on the old 460 like that.
